Thanks to the path created for us all by @hrheingold.bsky.social
AI agents working together with each other and with us, are starting to change everything. Three old frameworks tell us how to deal with this: McLuhan (what it does to us), Ostrom (how communities govern shared resources), IAD (who decides what, and how). 🔗👇
@rushkoff.com was right about "Program, or be programmed"

good things take time - we just shipped one of the most requested features for @supabase.com Auth:
◆ asymmetric JWTs
◆ new API Keys for better security
There are no breaking changes. You can opt in today then opt-out of the old keys whenever you want. Massive performance boost
Who are the specific people that come up with this bullshit?
It's going to go like this:
First, Trump and co. are turning on US allies, and people in the Federal government
Next, they will attack US political opponents.
Finally, they will turn on the American people themselves.
Yes. Use the data while you can. They will be tearing down all the federally published sources of data soon, too.
She wouldn’t say it to his face
You are right. They want transform civil rights into “woke ideology”. No, those are still civil rights. Don’t make people fight for them again.
Good article thank you
I agree 100%. But you can influence the change in worldview of humans by creating the conditions for change in people and environment. We need more exploration and innovation around this.
What happened to en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cradle-... where are the investors, and innovators for this space?
Cool! I was a student of Hanshi Seikichi Iha, and met Oshiro in 2016. I started to learn Yammani Ryu with Bo, but only scratched the surface.
And also how reading again to think about how to identify "lever points" John H Holland discusses. He said there is no theory that tells us where or how to look for "lever points" in complex adaptive systems, but what if there were such a theory?
But this time, I am also reading it again to try to inquire why identifiable "boundaries" exist and emerge into our existence in the first place? And also, how a "signal" maybe probably starts out as an unintentional information broadcasting, but then over time become intentional (and how)?
I read it some years ago, and it gave me a good framework for thinking about how to model what he is calling "signals and boundaries" in complex adaptive systems.
I am re-reading John H Holland's (father of the genetic algorithm) last book before he passed away, "Signals and Boundaries" (here is a presentation he gave on it some years back www.paralimes.org/wp-content/u... and the book is mitpress.mit.edu/978026252593... )

today @supabase.com is releasing a Postgres storage system that's ~5.5x faster than the default storage system
the storage system is called OrioleDB, the work of Alexander Korotkov and his team. it's not production-ready but available for testing:

I have a feeling over time it will change. Just need to put in some time over here.
Our very own Robert Virding will be a keynote speaker at Functional Conf 2025! 👏
Join him for his talk 'Concurrency Oriented Programming In A Modern World' and enjoy a discussion about concurrency, parallelism and distribution and how they are important today. 🌐 ➡️ confengine.com/conferences/...
@ming.bsky.social yeah my head says that too, but I have been in more of a groove in recent months over there. Maybe I'll try some here, some there each week
I am having a hard time lately deciding to post here vs X
