I finished plying and made a messy hank, because I didn’t want to spend time properly tying it. I plan on using this to practice nålbinding, and it somehow feels “right” that I’m using handspun gotland wool for it. 187.5 yards of 2ply, I didn’t bother to figure out wpi or calculate weight.

I got a new spindle today, a russian supported style, and now I am in the black hole of “doing research on how to use it so I don’t screw it up” rather than… I dunno… just trying? I’ve never done one handed drafting, and new things are scary. Also picking out which fiber to “sacrifice” to learning.

I have my bi-yearly cleaning tomorrow and I have much dread.
