Good people aren’t always right.
But they offer insight.
Richard Wolf is an example of a person who is very well-meaning & very easy to disagree with.
He’s intelligent. He knows history extremely well. And he has an extremely strong bias and I think oversimplification.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t learn from him. It’s my job to understand his argument.
Recognize their human bias. Watch the experts, the journalism, not the chatter.
Expand the list. Mother Jones will always be very socialist, but also will always have a very high journalistic standard.
University professors.
Judge public figures based on their intention.
It is OK to disagree.
Do and Don’t to find reliable sources.
Don’t ever allow any media to tell you what to watch. No feeds from YouTube, MSN, Bluesky, anybody.
Recognize when experts have experience and sources.
Find a variety of well established sources.
Examples: DW, France 24, MS NOW, Al Jazeera, BBC, Guardian
Numbers. If I go to a protest, I have free speech. If you and I go to a protest, we have free speech. If a group organizes a protest, they have free speech.
That is how they are comparable.
How do you separate out an entity that has no interest in goodwill or good outcome?
Humans have animal nature.
Notice they create conclusions based on perception and experience.
Humans are more aware of past and future and desire to change outcomes.
Human fear and insecurity leads to greed and brutality (or suicide) at its worst.

A simple thought I have is that only United States parties and unions have this free speech. But we extend our free speech to non-citizens in the United States.
CU didn’t categorize corporations as having the speech, but any group of people.
How do we isolate that in law or amendment?
It’s an overwhelming problem. Free speech in the United States. Constitution is very absolute. You inspire me to study Germany and other places that allow individuals to have free speech up to a limit. I’ll study if they have a limit on non-human free speech.
Does a union or party have free speech?
What you know intellectually in isolation may not save you.
Working with others you care about and who you care about you, you may find a plan you can stick to.
Practice connecting.

Under Citizens United, we can cap the amount contributed to individuals. I think those caps should be to an amount that more of the population could afford to pay. Maybe 2000 to an individual within a given year.
To limit speech on topics would take a constitutional amendment or reversal.
