Looks interesting. Whenever you see The Who quoted as one of the contributors, you wonder which tune they’ve chosen. I guessed I Can See For Miles. It’s Magic Bus. Which makes sense

I was just down the road at Bangor 1979-82. Feel pretty much the same about there. I don’t think they teach Philosophy there now, which I studied. A real shame

Just heard the sad news, Johnnie Walker has left the stage. He’s been there ever since I first got into music in the early seventies. Used to rush home at lunchtime to listen to his chart rundown, see if Maggie May was still number one. Genuinely one of the good guys. RIP Pirate Johnnie

What I was doing this day in 1968. First visit to Filbert Street, taken by my dad and grandad. All the stars were playing that day. And Leicester won 2.1. And on the walk to the stadium , overall was the smell of fried onions. Funny how some dates stick with you

Records of the year. The passage of a few months has, if anything, made it sound even better. Socially relevant, superbly played. Every bit as good as many of the records from the eighties we know and love. A modern masterpiece

Never give up.
The world needs more misfits with hearts of gold, more tea drinking badgers quoting Rimbaud, more were-bears running wild in forgotten forests, and especially more you.

'Saturday Night and Sunday Morning', 1960. Set and mostly filmed in Nottingham. #AlbertFinney just got on the bus going down the hill. This is Derby Road, with #StBarnabasCathedral spire seen above the shops on the right. A few newer buildings, but overall, not so different.
