I love the opening visuals for Anna with an E so much. It reminds me of early 2000s photo manipulations people were doing. So nostalgic. youtu.be/_ZK1UC6PACk?...

Happy for Hungary.
New dog is still learning drop it/leave it as evidenced by me having to put my whole entire hand in her mouth on our walk to try and snatch whatever she just tried to gobble up.
The amount of "but how many disabled people even use our software? 🙄🙄🙄" conversations like this I have to dance around in order to progress things is such a waste of time.
Comments like this are why I still have to beg people to do the barest minimum of accessibility in their UI (even with all the tools we have available to us today) when I would much rather work on more interesting problems that weren't solved 20 or so years ago.
Watched the splash down video to get a re-up of loving humanity
I got really sad when that spirit showed up that kept coming and going in her cinematic in the maw with Arator 🙁 ( I assumed the spirit was Nathanos) I honestly wish they had more screen time together
(I was not wrong but also claude was not wrong either, the customer did not know how to interpret it)
Sometimes I have to give feedback to customer support folks and today was my first "the customer said youre wrong because claude says otherwise" reply 🙃🙃🙃
I wanted this as a job because I loved all the animation opportunities and I would have been so good at making those numbers readable and animated
I need the people who make the sports graphics for scores and stats and stuff for TV to learn about accessible color combinations, I cant see shit
Why does that new Forsytes show *look* AI generated? Like, everyone is very pretty and ethereal looking. Overly smooth. Too bright. Its so off putting i stopped watching it in the first episode.
Also, I think Lothraxion probably is dead dead. But a lot of people are speculating he is still able to come back from the twisting nether (even with his whole dead body on the ground), so it feels a little weird that SOMEONE doesn't mention that in the story. Or just like, at all.
Sometimes I feel like they do their campaign quests a little too segmented and it leaves players thinking they forgot or missed things. Like, I'm sure Sylvanas is going to get mentioned again. But it feels weird that nobody reflected on that during "the elves are back together again" bit
Ok I did this story campaign last night and it was, in true Blizzard fashion, giving nothing in regards to answering the big questions and instead letting us just get strung along. Nothing afterwards about um, SYLVANAS? Hello? She appeared! Also, still nobody cares that we killed Lothraxion lmao
The one iron rule of late-stage financial bubbles is that with massive amounts of money at stake, a lot of people will be lying a lot of the time and many of lying liars will be people you’d trust in normal times, because the first person they fooled is themselves
Be extra sceptical.
(this should have been a blog post, too)
Axe for instance does not seem to always highlight these issues in scan results but other tools, like ARC Toolkit, do.
BUT, is that an actual violation? I need to look again but I'm not sure if it explicitly states the element should be in the DOM for things like aria-controls. Feel like it makes it weird for assistive tools to properly assess the accessibility tree so it should be caught by auditing tools.
I see this in accessibility scans a lot where an id for an element is referenced by aria-controls, but that element with that id is not rendered in the DOM. I feel like in a lot of cases, those elements *should be* in the DOM already.
I don't know how we got to this point, but I feel like we are afraid to render DOM elements a little *too much* when it comes to triggering the showing/hiding of elements. Probably a symptom of not knowing how it should be hidden/accessibly hidden and React makes it easy to mount/unmount elements
I've seen things.
Remind me also to write that blog post about things that seem like good intentions to do for accessibility in your design system and component API design but actually come back to bite you.
It's really sad to see the @developer.chrome.com account pumping out AI-style replies that don't really make sense.
These accounts used to be run by DevRel. Now they're run by marketing.

You may just be learning about @propublica.org's union bustery, but it's been *2 years, 8 months, and 5 days since the the union was recognized*
Worse, given the incredible work of holding the current admin account by their employees, its OBSCENE they won't even accept basic just cause protections!
I've updated the Against AI and Its Environmental Harms Library with a new section for data center toolkits created for community organizations and collective education and action. Visit the library - and add your resources - at: pad.riseup.net/p/Against_AI...
My "god what is going to happen" meal tonight was tator tots with kimchi, vegan chorizo, kewpie mayo and cheese. Really recommended.

The journey to close Rikers has begun.
