I’m supposed to do cognitive therapy tomorrow and all I can think of is “I’m sorry but I can’t live my life like it’s Thanksgiving every day”
The Atlantic responds to Kash Patel's $250 million lawsuit:
"We stand by our reporting on Kash Patel, and we will vigorously defend The Atlantic and our journalists against this meritless lawsuit."
'Bell removed Romeo and Juliet from his syllabus because “in Act III, Romeo and Juliet have sex, and that falls under this very broadly defined sexuality [topics ban].” He also didn’t teach about Joan of Arc this semester.'
What an actual lack of freedom of speech looks like in universities. 3/3
Oh no who could have seen this coming 🥲
Quant research in education could mean anything though. Is it the validity and reliability of IQ? Conscientiousness?
Tried to be nice to an “anti-woke” person sitting next to me by letting them use my laptop the whole flight.
“Look at me, reaching across the aisle.” I mean this figuratively, not literally, as he was sitting next to me. He caps it off by complimenting me on being like Dan Levy in Schitt’s Creek🫠
Calls in the UK press for a gender check
Haven’t even seen the video and already agree. FFX graphics were OK for me. Then FFXV and I was thinking “ok we pretty much have figured this out, no?”
7/ I tried to do a little light “maybe we can look at this situation from a different perspective” and my mom goes: “I’m sorry but I can’t live my life like it’s Thanksgiving every day”
Birthright citizenship is a powerful tool for reducing youth crime, from Leander Andres, Stefan Bauernschuster, Gordon B. Dahl, Helmut Rainer, and Simone Schüller www.nber.org/papers/w35070
"Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial: Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later."
Y’all remember what that bear did to Leo DiCaprio? I have always been a lover of bears but that was too much.
The error was on a pretty standard function to make a series of plots and I got a message like a “blue screen” but the message was really odd like “something happened that shouldn’t have happened.” I literally re-ran it again after the restart and it was fine

Over the past week, the president posted an image of himself as Jesus, the vice president challenged the pope on Catholic doctrine, and the secretary of defense quoted the speech of a fictional hit man and presented it as scripture.
Monte Carlo simulations are a great tool for numerical approximations.
In this example, they are used to estimate the value of pi.
I just released a new module on Monte Carlo simulation in the Statistics Globe Hub: statisticsglobe.com/hub

Being married is easy, I don't know why people complain about it. All you have to do is ask what your partner needs, actually listen to the answer, then figure out how you're going to train a variety of woodland creatures to put ancient curses on their enemies. It's literally so simple.
4/ also “very dangerous:” tattoos. Especially if they are close to bones.
3/ I’m in the middle of three stories. They are all excellent and probably mostly true but 3 hours in there’s no end in sight
2/ I got the speech I always get about how “the streets are more dangerous than ever before.” Including the last time and the time before that.
New danger: I should look out for the ceiling fan
Back home for a wedding. Will be reporting live on the scene 👀
Luigi Mangione murdered a rich CEO whose job was to deny coverage to Medicare Advantage patients. The DOJ is seeking the death penalty.
The gunman who massacred 23 people in a racist attack at an El Paso Walmart was offered a plea deal to avoid the death penalty.
Killing 1 is worse than 23? WTF?
My husband is a nudger too 😡 Except we have wildly different levels of conscientiousness. He’s been learning Spanish for 3 years and in that time I’ve dabbled in Dutch, French, Italian, Catalan… and Esperanto.
