Been hyperfocused on the #Pirates recently. It's been radio silence on any substantive updates or rumors regarding Okamoto for about 28โ36 hours... This makes me believe they are in the endgame. My guess is something gets announced in the next 3 hours (7PM ET, 4PM PT, 9AM JST).
I love how business owners are always so concerned about the 3 - 5 parking spots in front of their stores that bring maybe a couple dozen people to the area in a day vs public transit that brings hundreds.

He was called out because Vlad crossed the plate obstructing the catcher.
He stopped running because he was called automatically out because Vlad obstructed the catcher.
3-2 count on Vlad that's only had 6 Ks all post-season. It was a calculated risk that backfired. If Vlad punches it into right field, a single possibly scores a run and we're all singing a different tune.
I've heard stories of how bad customer service is at @aircanada.bsky.social, but I thought "nah, can't be that bad." I guess it was challenge accepted. Signed up to transfer points for a trip I'm planning. They canceled my account before I could book. Guess they don't like money.
Why is it that lighting a parking lot (for cars that have lights) is necessary and expected, but lighting a playground is "too expensive" and "excessive"?
It's the context in which these "deals" are viewed. Every statement, every deal needs to be looked at from the lens of "how does this benefit the top 0.1%? Can it benefit them more?" That is the measuring stick for everything happening.

Trump's designation of Antifa as a terrorist org is 0% about "domestic terror" (or Charlie Kirk's assassination) and 100% about defunding the Democratic Party. Why else would he target "groups that fund Antifa"? ActBlue is in the crosshairs.
"A tryant will always find a pretext for his tyranny."
There goes the First Amendment.
They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.
Horray for illiberalism! ๐คฎ
Gotta love these parties of, by, and for the wealthy. How very American of them.
First, and I shouldn't need to preface this, I will never condone violence of any sort.

@margaretatwood.bsky.social wrote this book already.
In places with good bike infrastructure, cycling is a practical and natural way to get around, not a statement about fitness or the environment.
It boggles my mind how people in the Netherlands can ride SAFELY without helmets just about anywhere.
Also why isn't Jason Slaughter of NotJustBikes on here?
Brings back "fond" memories of Goofy kicking Donald in Pennsylvania (look it up).
Well, it can't possibly be the guns. Definitely have nothing to do with it. None what so ever.

โI have not had a single day without an incident that has left me shaken up. It can be grating to hear the people around me discussing standstill traffic on their commute when I fear for my safety and life every day on mine.โ
Something that I really struggle with, and this is a general comment, not a slight, is that we need to stop referring to them as "accidents" and start using "crash" or "collision".
NYC has been one of my favorite cycling experiences. Felt far safer in Manhattan than I ever did commuting in Pittsburgh. Even when I had to ride with traffic in Times Square.
