Yesterday was my last day at Deno.
From today, I'll be cheering the talented team on from outside the org.
This also means that I'm now considering my next move in the DX/DevRel/Technical marketing space.

Today is my last day with the Deno team 🦕💖💔
I know they're gonna keep making awesome things.
But now *I* need to make awesome things for someone else! If you're looking for a DevRel with a JS focus and extra sparkle, get in touch!
Unexpected change of plans means I am available for work right now. I'm open to #freelance or contract, has to be fully #remote.
Background across #Vue, #Nuxt, #TechLead & #EngineeringManager roles. I like building meaningful products, helping people & teams grow.
Sharing appreciated!
I loved working full-time on @vite.dev hired by StackBlitz. High praise to companies hiring OSS devs!
But as I did when starting @vitest.dev with @antfu.me, for this new community adventure, as project steward of @npmx.dev together with @danielroe.dev, I'll be going independent. Here we go again ❤️
Trying out Goose with Ollama to orchestrate changes in one of my projects. Looks interesting! 🦢
Youp Schmit, mid-air, executes a wild a windsurfing freestyle trick in a bright turquoise sea. Multiple sails are visible in the background.
Nigel Hart soars mid-air while wing foiling over turquoise water. A windsurfer is seen on the left. The sky is cloudy, creating a dramatic scene.
We were invited to attend a freestyle windsurfing demonstration. It was wild! These stunts were incredible, even in relative low wind speeds!
We see a collection of baby mangrove trees standing in a shallow shoreline. In the distance the iconic Salt Pier dominated the horizon. The sea is calm and the seeing sun lights everything with warm hues.
Today we volunteered in preserving the coast line of Bonaire. Together with 20 something volunteers we planted a lot of baby mangrove trees. These will root and will shelter the coastline as well as serve as a nursery for aquatic life. It's also a huge absorber of carbon. 🌱
Multiple eco wins! 💪
A lot of popups with weird confirm messages.
Random colored circles with overlapping colors.
The vintage Pong game.
Random Maths formulas flying through the screen.
Fun isn’t a distraction from learning, it’s how we learn best.
The web is still a playful playground: open a text editor, try something weird, learn something new.
Let's all keep the web fun, weird, and wonderful!

Stone steps lead to a serene beach with turquoise waters. Framed by lush green trees, the peaceful scene evokes tranquility and relaxation. This is the famous 1000 steps beach on the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Sea.
Last year we bit the bullet and chose for better work/life balance. Time spent and people met during summer on #Bonaire sped this up, and now we started a new adventure: working remotely (and part time) from this tiny Caribbean island. More family time, more outdoor life, and doing work we enjoy.
Either that or a guinea pig 🫣
we have to build thousands of small websites we love and enjoy in order to beat back the ~10 websites that have transformed this miracle of a communications layer into a compromised nightmare btw
release your projects !!!
Oh wow, I'm so sorry! 🙏
You've been such a strong voice for @playwright.dev, a loss for the community, for the product and you 💔
Take care! With your energy I'm sure something exciting will pop up in the future!
This is a new sort of post for me. Trust in OSS is a thing I care a lot about. This post is my attempt to frame AI slop PRs as an attack on trust in open source.
Thanks I hate it
People of JavaScript! The #CFP for #JSNation AMS2026 is open! Let's fill it with insights from the industry! Weird side projects, deep case studies, backend, frontend: we want you!

Dodged a whamageddon bullet today by my headphones not connecting to my laptop fast enough 😅 Close call, it has offically begun! #whamageddon #lastchristmas #igaveyoumyheart
Started my new role at Tapp today! We're going to reduce e-waste in the global supply chain by offering data loggers that are recyclable all around the globe 🌎♻️ A new role with a (small) positive impact on the world. Excited to be part of this scale up. 🙌
Did a guest talk on "AI, what's under the hood?" for six graders. Boy was it fun! Lots of questions and good back and forths on the risks, how it's used and how to (try and) use it safely.
This was an absolute blast! Healthy critical audience, and super bright!
Yes yes yes! I'm very sad I can't make it this year
What little CS knowledge I have was hard won over a long period of time. I still don't really care for it, except where it's pragmatic enough to help me make better decisions while I work.
If you have a similar background to me, this article is your shortcut to more intentional programming.

If Mark Watney can do it 🥔🧑🚀🤷
I'm leaving the company and left a collection of"curated" backgrounds for virtual meetings. Now you can enjoy them too! 💁
