Shh in last minute crafting a hummingbird statue for my grandma's christmas.

Definitely needed the tweezers for this one, here's the base

This unexpectedly made me laugh, it's like saving Chai Tea

I'm making improvements on Mr Bird as hes being built, designed, and altered.

Right now I'm working on a new reinforced hinge

But I've quickly realized when you reinforce something to be twice as hard to break, it takes twice as much time to fix the mistakes

This is the second part I worked on

It took a lot of trial and error
The issue was I made the top jaw move rather than the bottom.
I even contacted my engineering friend for help, but we were both stumped

Thankfully my best bud suggested the current working design, which I improved on
Very sweet

Okay so alot of progress-

I was struggling with the back peice so I switched to the mask
peice, brilliant idea

Created a nice frame for the mask, very comfy, and allows airflow

I also made a spring shut mechanism which is cool

I'd say about a 6
