There are many things I’m very proud of as a Canadian. MANY things. But every time I watch another media story about another ambitious push in renewable energy from China, I’m embarrassed that Canada isn’t aggressively working to quickly become a true global powerhouse in renewable energy.
If you hate Pope Leo because he is too “liberal”, I have some very bad news for you about Jesus.
Is the fact that the Iran war wasn’t congressionally authorized something we no longer talk about? Seems like the reporting/discussion now just assumes that Trump can just do whatever he wants wrt the use of force
I'm a vandalist & rape survivor & withdraw any support I had for Swalwell.
There are sadly too many predators in this world-from the White House & halls of Congress to college & high school campuses. Parents, please teach your children that no one has the right to violate another person, period.3/3

I'm going to put a new set of peat pots in the window, with lavender and milkweed seeds to add to my butterfly garden later this spring.
A thing I've noticed is that most of the big online voices on the left are people would honestly rather be doing something else - typically gaming, comedy, or shitposting. But they saw the world falling apart, started talking about it to vent their frustration, and people listened.

There was no thrill like seeing one of my books on a library shelf for the first time. If you're in Canada & accessing my Falls Mystery or Maddie Hatter series via library, know that I get a Public Lending payment for each library that has them. You're not shorting me but supporting libraries! Yay!
Honestly, not everyone wakes up feeling confident, and that’s okay. Sometimes you’ve just got to show up and act like you believe in yourself, even if you’re still figuring it out!

After a night of worrying about our impending doom, I’m exhausted.
I hope you all have dreams of a better future.

An image circulating the internet purports to be from Artemis II. It is an AI derived and edited photo.
We will have SOOO many amazing, high resolution photos & videos from Artemis II in the coming days and weeks, visions of space that we've only dreamt of but this popular image purporting to be from Artemis II is fake.
I went right there too. Holding my breath.
The Artemis II crew are using their own bodies as scientific experiments. One of these is ARCHeR: Artemis Research for Crew Health and Readiness. Wristband devices collect date to provide deeper insights into cognition, behavior, sleep quality, and teamwork. 🧪 #ArtemisII
I used to follow the Gemini Apollo missions when I was a kid, fascinated. Realised a childhood ambition when I visited The Kennedy Space Centre (probably about to be re branded and abused), absolutely magnificent, thrilling to see the launch. God speed.
It seems strange, as a 67 year old, hearing all the science explained again. We KNEW that, back in the day. Largely due to the wonderful James Burke and Tomorrow’s World.
A few hours ago, the Artemis II crew fired the Orion capsule’s thrusters, leaving Earth orbit and setting course for the Moon. If you're 55 or younger, this crew has already traveled farther from Earth than anyone in your lifetime.
Jeremy Hansen has a great message for us all after this first critical burn. #ArtemisII
