This is what so few people seem to understand:
Feeling the consequences of their right-wing vote won’t change most people’s minds, because the entirety of the appeal in voting right-wing is the capacity for it to harm those they hate.
Personal consequences are largely irrelevant.
It’s like how we (the left) keep yelling at Trumpers that they’re “voting against their interests.”
The thing is, they’re not.
You just have to realize that “their interests” aren’t personal preservation; “their interests” are hurting their perceived enemies.
