To qualify for L7e it needs to be below a very aggressive maximum weight. Every gram counts. That’s why it needs to be an aftermarket option. Add whatever you like once it’s registered…

It’s actually a 2+1 on that exact basis - a small child seat in the middle behind the main seats

Weight and cost is everything. Half tonne weight and cheaper than any small hatchback because of the small battery that enables. If the maths shows that a solar roof makes sense then it can be an aftermarket option

Makes more sense to fit them where you park. Carrying them around is just weight and cost for frankly, not a significant enough charge
