There is a great episode of Maintenance Phase where they talk about “Ultraprocessed Foods”. Basically, there is no real universal definition, and also no proposed mechanism. People just use it when they mean junk food and want it to sound “sciencey”.

Relistening to Maintenance Phase and in the President Physical Fitness Test episode we see the weird wellness trend of “do this thing cause… Hitler”, 5 years later and it still comes up in episodes in diet/wellness trend origins 😬 it’s so wild.

This started happening in the last 5 years or so. All the mats from different manufacturers now come in 1” smaller. I will say my fiskar brand one was still accurate when I got it 4yrs ago.
