To be fair Minnesota Republicans are demented, so I don’t think they would be, knowing many of them, but this is why they want to kick the left out because there’s too many of us in the party and they can’t just control things from their table at Colita.
If you’re over 65, yes

This is a good piece (even though I still have plenty of fears) & explains a bit of the closer relationship with younger progressive State Sen. @zaynabmmohamed.bsky.social, who surprised some by speaking for Klobuchar at recent conventions.
The story never attempts an answer to the key business question: was she forced out?
This is best-case: “Victory+’s model would pay teams a minimum & share advertising revenue once that money has been earned back. Games would be streamed for free with no paywall and 10 to 15 games simulcast over-the-air in local markets” www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/202...
I do wish lefties would avoid stuff like the piñata head, because Frey’s playbook is to consistently use those things to obscure his managerial shortcomings & peevish power-hoarding. But a Performative Mayor Contest is spot-on at the kind of shamelessness he gets away with.
Worth noting Palmisano talks about compromise but yesterday when she was about to vote with progressives on a technical amendment to have Minneapolis law conform to state law on drug paraphernalia decriminalization (a public health initiative), she abruptly changed her vote. Where is her compromise?
Palmisano notes “Frey Derangement Syndrome” - the laziest trope to dismiss any critic — but “Council Derangement Syndrome” is never written about. Facebook is just full of it.
Back to tired Strib drama criticism. Three paragraphs hinting — but not delving into — substantive disagreement on how Frey does his job but five paragraphs of Palmisano defending him. Will there ever be an investigative look at how the mayor cuts the Council out? www.startribune.com/mayor-jacob-...
I let my Bluesky domain expire (got no warning!). Renewed it, so we’ll see if it changes within 24 hours.

Yeah, it’s extremely performative and super-Republican-coded
This is very cool!! Wish they gave a few more details on the route itself.
The prof teaching the class is a lecturer and I sure hope he’s on a stable, multi-year contract.

screenshot of April 21 Wash PO editorial board: "Virginia plunges America deeper into the gerrymandering abyss The redistricting scheme was always a power grab by Democrats. Voters went along with it."
listen hun if you can't handle the Washington Post editorial board at their the Texas gerrymander "freakout" is "not a threat to democracy" you don't deserve them at their "Virginia plunges America deeper into the gerrymandering abyss"
That is a testicle buster
I zipped over there to like your comment
Ha, yeah, at least it’s not quite as steep
The original plan was to see if I could go past Holman Field but got waylaid exploring Ft. Snelling Park. That place would be awesome with repaved bike trails. Even the car roads are crummy.
If the Ft. Snelling up had been 5 feet longer I would’ve had an accident. I’m not getting any younger.
"I was ABSOLUTELY told that the Democrats would be bringing knives to the gun fight. What the fuck are they doing bringing guns?" --a whole lot of Republicans looking at the results from Virginia right now
This is extremely healthy & good
