Look who arrived on the layout, it's Thomas with Clarabel and before you ask sadly Annie has not arrived yet but Thomas runs so well I love him!

Some more good news!
The tracks are now completely layed out and installed so the track portion of my layout is 100% done and I can move to the next steps which will be the scenery/landscaping so be on the lookout for that!

Thank you yes it's been around for about 50 years or so and it's an amazing little hobby shop with friendly staff and tons of different areas for different hobbies from cameras, to gundam, to trains, to board games it's always a fun trip.

Heylo all small update on the layout here's the haul from the local hobby store and some pics from it.
I got the last of the switches needed, two cars for the loffing area, & an Amtrak pin but I'll show how the layout looks fully come morning!

Oh thank you, I did not know of decoders for just the switches themselves this is definitely some good info I really appreciate it.
I just bookmarked all this to check back on when I get some spare funds to put more on the layout.

Ooo I didn't know about these I'll definitely have to check it out thank you so much, I was just messing around with the layout and was like "what if this?" and just surprised it worked haha.
I'll have to get some extension cables once I get paid and get that little adapter.

Had a dumb idea in my head I never thought would work but here we are, using the Kato controller for the switches & the Digitrax for the engines.
I'm really happy it works & now I just need to get extender wires, attach the flippers, number 'em & boom!

Looking real good and the fun of making a layout redoing the same section a few times over buuut the end result almost always comes out amazing!

Kato really does just make things that work and last, I have my own little layout with Kato track and some Kato engines and cars they make really good models, always an easy recommendation.

Talk about a Lion L, but I'm all seriousness this does look incredibly cheap even compared to what things are being made in N Scale of all things for probably much cheaper too considering Lionel prices these days.

I basically stop watching and unsubscribe when a channel starts using AI slop on their videos, I threw up thumbnails for my channel within about 20 minutes tops and it looks better than the PS3 sheen slop that is AI in those thumbnails.

Ooo I've not seen this way to plan the track with paper but that looks very nice and neat, and hey more track to add for the freight yard it seems ;-)
