an absolute *delight* to read such solid characterization of volke & zihark here :3c hella hot slash, some bangers of lines, and KD is one of the very few who i'd trust to handle some parts of backstory implied ~ one of those fics i'm itching to doodle.

i swear half the fun when you crosspost fics is seeing the summary what lil' delightful facet you show on this fic. :3 so amused at the locks metaphor especially given your nagamas fic ehehe ~
Both my architecture + Silk Road zines are finally available as PDFs purchase🌾 !!!!
Expect: maps, ruins, steppe camps, mausoleums, diagrams, notes from way too many research spirals.

Fiction excerpt: "You didn't bury what you left there. Not completely." The man frowned, and Volke knew he'd touched something. That frown smoothed just as quickly, and Zihark shook his head. "No… I guess I didn't. Don't think I ever will." The rasping of a file as he ground down that pin to sit smoothly flush with the rest of the handle filled the tent. "It's not really fair, you know, that you're all masked up. You're reading me like a book, huh?" Volke smirked under the fabric. "Make it worth my while if you want to read something off my lips."

they're picking each other apart, like opening up locks. like infiltration. like something else that doesn't need to be said. they're having some kind of a good time about it.

the way you combine inking *and* colors is a real visual delight for the eyes. i know nothing about these characters but the personalities just spill right out. <3
i deeply enjoyed reading this minizine... love the nuance; played through this game in college but genuinely considering giving it a new go just to see it differently from this.
:3c i only just learned today how easily the faces break apart & one can mix and match.. i figure with some good figurine paint it'd be easy enough to get surprisingly close...
doin' a lil silly arts n' crafts project of making custom nendos for the selfship 20 year anni ... (and work self medication, lol)... vibrates....
your inkwork is so beautiful .... i love the charm it gives to each character and scene, makes me want to see so much more. :)
what a compliment!!! ;uuu; see, i couldn't even tell since you took to it so naturally -- the feeling is mutual with the guidance and inspiration.... thank you <3
just read it in full and oh my gosh the last panel.... whoof!!!!! this is incredible; the nuance of the lines mixed with the sheer eros. i hope there's a time when you can draw them again freely <3
just read it and it's soooo good... your inking is incredible (command of anatomy && emotional weight & stylistic nods & setting && props... ), not to mention the details such as the dialogue accent. and the symbol on the fish girl changing. so much to pour over. ty for making!!
omg, thank you :D going no-dialouge with this travelouge has been a lot of fun in playing with how to communicate wtf is happening otherwise, thought the map was pretty clever, heh.
she looks amazing in this style of yours. i genuinely thought this was a 3H official manga i wasn't aware of -- but your slightly retro take with the expressions is even better imo. <3
tell your wife i would do the exact same thing, solidarity <3
rinse and repeat for however many level of greys you have. (keep it simple!)
you can now add a transparency mask to that tone layer to do dope gradients/shines *while* being able to tweak those non destructively.
tone brush used: krita-artists.org/t/mojo-moo-f... (zip ones esp.)
4/4
copy your greyscale layer. this will be your tone layer. THE EVIL STEP I JUST FIGURED OUT... select similar color. of grey. >:)
ctrl+delete the grey but don't deselect everything. *tone in* that empty selection. (3/?)
first step: paint-bucket-fill basic solid greys while you're moving things around & actively drawing. you can have fills clip to lineart.
(i've toned straight in krita before for other doujin, but if i need to move comps around, they end up moire'd if i want to tweak tones later. not good.)
2/?
lowkey think i just figured out the most diabolical, non-destructive way to faithfully tone in krita... (1/?)
first: end result.
oh these are so lovely, especially experimenting with similar rn. they look so fantastically dynamic especially against the graph paper which feel a little like your signature look in ways.
;u;;;;; omg, thank you!! honestly you just made my day to hear it's been reread ...
something something it's honest/horny/etc work ;)
still warms my heart that you love that cast and Gunter especially after so long <3 you rendered them both so fabulously well and with so much affection... feel like they can both come right out of a storybook.
... yeah
received this delicious package from @spillingdown.blorbo.social.ap.brid.gy 's store today. :) absolute perfect mix of interests, styles, and whimsy; go support the artist ~
we contain multitudes! :D i'm about to get a new laptop and i think your stickers are going to be the first to grace it <3
this zihark one, yes! :) i'm under no illusions that it'll be a pretty tiny printing run/much lower popularity, but i'll open pre-orders likely early next year or whenever it's finished.
weh ;uu; <3
was it the supercomputer in that brave little toaster sequel, because if so,,, i completely understand..... :p
thank you :D figured out some things with this strip and can't wait to keep pushing at it. ~
