Made top 8 at locals this week. Unfortunately missed out on some prizing I was interested in but I have plans for the next one. I’ll also be helping with a tournament at the city’s comic convention this week which should be fun!
Highlight with Wing 9-60 Kick from the tournament:

It’s still ongoing and it’s pretty neat.

Had a pretty rough run at a tournament last week but placed second again this week. Just gotta work out a final slot but I think my prep has been going well other wise.
Pegasus Stormbringer be upon ye.
There are a lot of guides online for how to get into the game, and if there’s a locals scene more people are friendly than not for getting people started.

Been a while since an update post so:
Was in a funk for tournaments in February but I’ve started to top again, placed 2nd at a 44 person event, and placed top 8 at a 20 person local more recently.
I’m also helping out with Beyblade panels at a few local cons coming up! Should be fun!
OG beyblade’s sub has a really good soundtrack that made it worthwhile for me. The first two seasons of beyblade burst I also think are worth checking out since it takes more of a sports approach than a battle shonen approach.
From what I remember it’s hard to get it in normal stores due to shelf space restrictions. Gamestop/Eb Games has it sometimes and it is available through amazon, though it is still a bit more expensive than I’d like.
But it is basically a y2k thing over a 90s thing so I do agree with the sentiment.
Beyblade did technically start in 1999, though the anime came out in 2001
Yeah. Rod and Scale are at the top of the meta, but there is room for a lot of options currently based on what you have and how the general/local meta build up.
Not them, but:
Wizard Rod 1-60 Hexa
Silver Wolf 9-60 Low Orb
Phoenix Wing 3-60 Low Rush/Rush/Kick
Is a pretty good standard option that should be accessible through common boosters at least in Hasbro.
SharkScale if you have it is very good to run too, and there are other options if you want.
They have metal again. You can also hit them hard enough that the parts fly off.
Yeah. I mean more in the sense that changes are just varied I guess. Some changes seem like they had more effort compared to others which is interesting but also funny. I think the worst offender is still burst cause the beys are all fantasy/mythological beings but many were changed out of the blue.
Hell was changed to incendio too. From opinions, some changes are for “safety” but other just seem to be so that they sound cooler I guess lol
It is a bit loud but assuming there’s either a separate space or he’s reasonable with the times he uses it it’s pretty fun!
People will probably order online. Mercari will be a decent spot to check once it releases.
It’s a portmanteau of beigoma, a traditional spinning top game, and blade! It’s also a pretty neat anime for the most part.
There is but it varies. Burst isn’t the current line so it’s not of immediate interest, but there are people who collect and buy for older gens. It might just take some time to find a buyer. You can check on beyblade forums to gauge things as well.
Should kind of look like this. Gn. is short for generate which is the name of the driver
Try beyblade x instead
They’re pretty popular right now and in stores if you have a local big retailer. Otherwise they’re fairly available online.
Yeah it’s pretty popular right now. There’s a new line Beyblade X that has picked up a lot of tournament scenes worldwide.
They have come back with the newest series, Beyblade X. They’re pretty big in niche spaces, and the gameplay is pretty fun!
It’s pretty neat!
Players more often refer to those as hooks. The prongs are what extends from the launchers to attach to the beys.

Go here to look up events near you. If you find a locals they will also help you get things. But they are largely retail available.
The scene is very all ages and inviting so it’s definitely worth it.
B-Daman. It’s getting a reboot as well actually youtu.be/ppLMQ3K6-V0?...
To be fair the current line Beyblade X is pretty sick. But it’s also fair to not be into it outside of spectating, hobbies are just like that.
All ratchets have a visual indicator for the name convention count. The notches around the center represent height in mm, and the protrusions/bumps on the outside denote the first number. For example, this ratchet has seven protrusions on the outside and 6 notches in the center, so it is 7-60.
