Not a comic book but a damn fine magazine, MONSTERS OF THE MOVIES #1 (debuting OTD in 1974) was Marvel's effort at a more scholarly take on FAMOUS MONSTERS, with Jim ("Mr. Nostalgia") Harmon at the helm. Undone by East Coast/West Coast tension, it was canceled after 8 issues & an annual. I loved it.
