I wonder if EPSS has utility in identifying patients on peripheral VA ECMO who could benefit from unloading. Otherwise, I totally agree - forget EPSS. That said, I think M-mode over AMVL is worth doing for other reasons (select effusion assessments, LVOTO, pedagogy).
