Listening to RK again this morning and think I was trying too hard to be genre neutral yesterday. In the end the songwriting is way better and the B182 defence comes down to feeling sorry for the bratty boys with their low seed. And, er, no there are good reasons not to like bratty boys.

I'd like some kind of weighting to be able to say that I really love these one of two albums even if I'm submitting thirty others. But it makes the process more complicated, there's more checking etc.
Though 1-2 in a closed ballot might give you a different result idk

Yeah I mean the electorate is still the same electorate. You also have to figure out the question you're trying to answer with the album selection and then you can try to find a way to answer it.
But I know people put a lot of effort into putting together really diverse and interesting ballots and limiting the number would take away the value of all that research.
I think that's the wrong way around - with fewer noms per ballot, the bar is lower and it's easier for albums which a few people really like to get in. For example, if you had one nom per person then everyone's favourite would get in.
