The attention economy on artist Internet is extremely difficult to get a foothold in, or at least in my experience. So when you watch other artists get tangible success and attention the second they post something, it just makes you feel like you're doing something wrong if you don't too.

It really is hard to even gripe about this to anyone, especially artists who don't push a social media presence.
It is so demotivating to put effort into something that gets little to no appreciation by others.
