After taking part in Sustrans' Big Walk and Wheel, and seeing benefits to both their physical and mental health from this change, they decided to continue with their longer, greener commute to school.

A posthumous award for regional campaigner of the year has been given to cyclist Mike Gough of @roadiescycles who was killed in Huntingdon last year. Mike’s widow Hazel accept the award on Mike’s behalf from @camcycle.

E-bikes are limited to 15.5mph so not really much difference to a fit cyclist who can easily do 12-20mph. E-motor bikes are illegal to use without a licence, insurance etc. All road users need to #sharewithcare

Switching just 1 trip a day from 🚗 to 🚴 or 🚶♂️ = almost 30% less transport CO2 for the ave UK urban resident. If 1 in 5 did this in 🇪🇺 it’d cut emissions from all 🚗 travel in 🇪🇺 by 8%. The potential impact of active travel on CO2 could be huge
