Troy NY had rows of stunning Victorian mansions along the river but bf and his mom said they were all crack dens, basically 😩
Just looked more closely at the list and realised this, lol. I cannot speak to the charms or lack thereof of the Michigan Troy!
My boyfriend in the mid 90s was from Upstate and I spent wayyyy too many hours on Adirondack Trailways from Montreal to Albany... Troy looked very down at the heels but maybe it's changed?
So pleased to be featured on @inksweatandtears.co.uk today

Loved sharing what inspired my poem The Severn at Llanidloes with BBC Wales! Each of the 50 poems in the Afonydd/Rivers anthology has its own genesis story.

When I was showing I'd set a mental metronome marking for the course, depending on the layout, terrain, ground conditions, weather and how my horse was feeling that day (fresh or lazy).
I mean did he though?

Someone filmed a Frederick Delius biopic in Montreal in the early 90s. I know this because I was friends with almost everyone they hired to shoot the orchestra scenes (they needed musicians who could synch playing to the recording). No idea what happened with this film was it ever released, etc.

Oooh. Had heard about the Mahler one but not the others! Who should have been cast as RVW? Alex Guiness?
