If we had a driveway that was all our own, it would’ve been reasonable from a cost perspective.

We have a very long shared driveway with a garage at the very end. It would be the cost of running the power to the garage that would be the expensive part. We upgraded our electrical panel thinking that we could get an EV. Trenching to get to the back of the yard was going to be super expensive.

Two years ago I looked at EV‘s. I ended up buying a gas burning Toyota Corolla. I would’ve had to spend an extra $20k beyond my $30k budget to get an EV. The EV market in Canada is really limited.

To install a charger at my house would’ve cost $20k. I just couldn’t afford an EV but I want one.

I agree with you that a Constitutional Amendment is highly unlikely. However, I would not bet against an interpretation of the Constitution by the SCOTUS that seems to defy all logic.

I just heard one of these guys say “Hold my beer…”. With a bought and paid for SCOTUS, the Constitution just provides a speed bump.

The appeal to MAGA is cruelty. It makes me sick to hear them preach about God, Jesus and family. Complete hypocrites.

Trump has a hard core that accounts for about 38% of the population. So that means if approval of tariffs is at 34%, then roughly 90% of the MAGA faithful are on board with Trump’s economic madness. It’s like a cult of obedient lemmings.

Just when you thought the #EpsteinAdministration couldn't degrade our country any further:

In retaliation for the SCOTUS ruling against his tariffs, Trump has dug up a law that he believes gives him the power to levy a 15% tariff on goods from every country in the world. I think this will make the cost of living even higher.
