I think it's bad for the President to threaten to annihilate an entire culture and i do not think you are being alarmist if you take his threats seriously and literally.

SORTA SPOILERS FOR A 46 YEAR OLD MOVIE and also one from last year
Watched the 1980 Christopher Reeve time travel romance Somewhere In Time. It’s very good and sweet but the main thing I walked away from it with was this hyper specific Letterboxd list.
Making my first trip to the theater this year to do this double feature.
Got my “new” vcr up and running. Played an unlabeled tape I had. A football game from my dad recorded. I watched the commercial breaks. Multiple ads for the James Woods show “Shark” and the ill-fated Jimmy Smits vehicle “Cane”. Many Geico ads. And this Odd Couple themed Jared Subway ad
Hey Jane Austen novel Pride and prejudice and knuckles
Drawing of a duck looking at a flier for curling lessons
duck pulling a curling stone
A duck pushing a curling broom
That same duck on a podium winning first prize with a medal and crown
A few months ago I got the story of a duck who aspires to curling greatness stuck in my brain and simply couldn't get it out until I did this
The corporate media continues to minimize elite complicity in this administration’s cruel policies. This is not a nameless Ninja Turtle. This is Michaelangelo. Name and shame these guys!
Rob Reiner was one of the few celebs whose involvement in politics and activism felt genuine and was rooted in good faith
This court finds you guilty and sentences you to drive into a fake tunnel painted on a brick wall until death 👩⚖️

Photo of actor Udo Kier as Hans in MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO, holding a lamp up dramatically illuminating his face.
I was the assistant editor on MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO. I have 9000 stories from that time, and many of them feature this man who passed away this morning, Udo Kier. He would talk about Fassbinder, Warhol and Paul Morrissey for hours. I was so lucky to get to know Udo and he will be missed by so many.
Bill Clinton's dick is the lament configuration that has cursed american politics for the entirety of my lifetime
Got this at Goodwill. Beautiful packaging. We used to be a proper country.
In the Santa Clause films if you kill Santa, you become him. If two men stab Santa in the heart simultaneously, do they each become Santa? Do they merge into one man that becomes the new Santa? Some other third scenario?
We’re staying at my mother in law’s for the night. We absolutely aced bringing everything we needed for the baby. Something was bound to be forgotten.
Cut benefits, force the poor to commit “crimes” of survival, arrest them. Can’t afford bail? Straight to jail.
Free labor for corporations and private investors.
The suffering is the point.
Saying this after pulling the trigger on the blu ray of Rain Man because I’m trying to own Every Tom Cruise movie. Haven’t watched Rain Man in decades. Haven’t seen Clockwork Orange in probably 15 years. Moments from both are burnt into my brain (“Wopner” “A bit of the old ultra violence”).
Clockwork Orange 4K for $10.99 on Amazon. Great deal, great movie but it’s a real “when the fuck am I going to watch this again?” movie when you’re a 35 year old man with a child. If this was a movie I was going to own on disc (I have a vhs) wouldn’t I have owned it by now?
Father Time is undefeated.
Father Thyme, however, is a mediocre chef and has lost many, many cooking competitions.
Got these for $2 at the library. They aren’t shrink wrapped but both still have those weird stickers sealing it shut that all DVDs had on them for awhile.
Loved One Battle After Another. Could see it going higher even but for right now this feels right to me
Dusting off the ol’ PTA ranking. He’s made movies that are objectively better but it would be a lie for me to put anything besides PDL in the #1 stlot. It’s deeply special to me. There are no bad movies here, just some I respond to less
If sometime in the next few days you go browsing for DVDs you could potentially leave with a copy of The Jerk for both you and a friend. One of these is still shrink wrapped
