Oh for sure. I’m not a Dodgers fan (I root for the A’s but grew up watching the Giants too), but your team is undeniably great because of the right moves at the right times. A’s could leverage their excellent farm system into greatness if BILLIONAIRE John Fisher was willing to part with a nickel.

I love this one so much. I remember how fast I read it, then at the end, I wished I would have taken more time to savor it.
I really liked this book, especially how she talks about firing people. Sometimes people are in the wrong job, and we should not feel guilty for steering them to the right one.
I can’t wait to see how this works out for them

I am very looking forward to reading Cherry Baby
I hated that book so much. It’s to book what The English Patient was to movies for me. When I was done reading it, I wanted to burn it. LOL
Good quote though
It’s way too early to be making any determination based on the current standings (I mean, the Mets are digging a pretty deep hole, but even they aren’t out of the playoffs at this point). I love me some Oakland A’s, but no one seriously thinks they will still be in 1st come October.
One of my favorite movies of all time
This is a great movie too
Such a remarkable film. I love Werner Herzog so much
I don’t have $700
Yay!
Without stating your age, post your favorite film from the year you turned 18.
I’m about halfway through this book, and it is really good.
I’m probably never going to buy a special edition of a book I already own, but I’ll definitely buy the special edition of the book over a regular edition of a book I don’t already have, even if the special edition costs more
I want to read And Back to You but I can’t find a spot for it in my library’s annual reading challenge. Maybe when I get a couple more books ahead.
This is such a beautiful book. One day I’m going to re-read it along with David Copperfield.
I think (and since they are often only loosely related, some people will disagree) that this series is better read in order starting with The Colour of Magic. Also, it probably helps if you have played Dungeons and Dragons and smoke weed. In other words, I love them but they aren’t for everyone.
1. The Trees by Percival Everett and Wild Seed by Octavia Butler
2. Tough Guy by Rachel Reid
3. Paper Girl by Beth Macy
4. The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong.
Lavender book cover with a large bearded hockey player in a blue and uniform sitting on the bench in a locker room. Next to him is a southeast Asian man, slight of build wearing pink and purple with bright pink shoes. He is holding a violin.
💙📚 Book 30 of 2026 - Tough Guy by Rachel Reid. Read for #BookNerd category “Read a book that celebrates your freedom to read” because gay hockey porn is definitely a banned book somewhere in the US. Anyhow, this one has sex but it reads more like a kiss and cuddle romance. I enjoyed it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I live at ground zero in Idaho. It’s terrifying, and they have taken over the state here
I’m starting to listen to Wild Seed by Octavia Butler, and I’m reading gay hockey porn (lol, actually Tough Guy is mostly a kiss and cuddle romance, but I digress). I need to get my $h!t together and get back to my #BookNerd categories, but the library keeps giving me books I really want to read
My favorite will always be The Stand.
No, but both series are good. The problem with Wheel of Time is that its premise makes it repetitive.
This May Day, I am refusing business as usual—no work.

I guess could technically use this for “Book with books on the cover” #BookNerd category, but it’s only one book, so this ended up being my second book of the year that doesn’t fit any category. 📚💙
Orange book cover with drawings of green leaves and two people, a man and a woman, laying on chase lounges. The man is reading a book. EMILY HENRY New York Times bestselling author of BEACH READ PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION a novel
📚💙 Book 29 of 2026 - People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. I’m pretty sure I would hate the Netflix movie based on this book because Poppy is A LOT even on the page, but I enjoyed the book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
