Took a plane, train, and automobile to get home

I didn’t put an AirTag on my bag! I started freaking out, thinking someone put it on there and was trying to track me
Friends- I borrowed the bag from a friend. I confirmed with her…it’s her AirTag
But before I confirmed with her, the sympathetic surge was REAL
After I landed in Seattle, I got an alert that there was an AirTag near me
I was on the light rail so I thought maybe it was on someone else’s stuff
But the phone helps you figure out where it is and it was definitely on my bag
It didn’t rain one time while I was in Seattle 👀
Actually this was my third time there and I don’t think it’s ever rained when I’ve been there
I’ve been lied to
Honestly 4.5 hours from Seattle to NY isn’t bad at all
Last time I flew across the country I was ~27 weeks pregnant
It was easier this time 😂
I never considered a private space to nurse/pump as an accessibility issue, but it is!
I personally don’t mind throwing on a cover and pumping wherever, but for people who do…they deserve spaces!
I saw a nursing room at the Seattle airport right when I walked in but then never again
What a fabulous time at Chief Week
4 rising Medicine Chiefs + 1 rising Med/Peds Chief 🔥
Can’t wait to sit in a middle seat on my flight tomorrow and pump once or twice during it 😅
Donated 100+ ounces of breast milk to a random stranger and wasn’t murdered or trafficked!!!!!
Pumping my way through the Seattle
Not letting it get in my way!
Haven’t put on my work shoes since pre-pregnancy and dang they do not fit 😅
My poor feet
There’s a super nice pumping room at this conference and I knocked and there was another Chief mom in there
Her baby is also 4 months
We ended up sharing the room while we pumped and chatted
And that’s on ~new moms in Medicine~
👩⚕️
I think this is going to be my favorite conference I’ve ever been to because it’s so targeted to me
It’s Chief Week! 🥳
I thought I’d be alone in the hotel gym at 5:30am, but I should’ve known at an academic internal medicine conference it would be packed
And then what happened
Yeah
What if the Mets lose their 10th game in a row
My Spectra seeing 34K feet
Pumping at the airport at the gate
Doing what I have to do
Made it through security with my breast pump ✔️ I was nervous
Leaving my baby for 3 nights was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done!!
This conference better be worth it
I’m glad this is hopefully my one and only trip while breastfeeding (pumping)
It’s a lot of WORK to just pack all the stuff I need let alone the actual pumping every 3 hours
Motherhood has made me so type B
Leaving for the airport in 15 hours and have packed 0 things
Got such good feedback on my resident didactic today 🥹
15 years ago today I left for Spain with my Grandma
She gave me the choice of anywhere in the world for my 16th birthday
We went to Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Valencia, Seville, Granada, and Barcelona over 10 days
Forever grateful for that trip 🥰
I’m super glad he got a job but I’m gonna miss my stay at home husband who does all the chores 😂
Yesterday was my husband’s birthday
AND he got a job!!!
We went to Orient and were the only two humans on the beach
NorthShore beaches are my favorite
My fastest mile postpartum! 11:37
Over 4 minutes slower than my mile PR but I have a brand new body
