On April 1, We Are CASA, @aclu.org, and partners are rallying for our rights, our families, and our future. Join us at 10am to make it clear: #BirthrightCitizenship is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, and the President cannot override the Constitution. Period.

Our Executive Director's opinion for @commondreams.org: "Defending birthright citizenship is not only about protecting children of immigrants. It is about preserving a constitutional framework that recognizes our shared humanity and limits the government’s ability to decide whose rights matter."
Join the People's Chorus, a national community raising our voices together to demand change. Monthly gifts help us run neighbor-to-neighbor organizing trainings, mobilize working people to take action and amplify stories from the frontlines.

Call your senator and tell them we don’t want ICE anywhere near our communities. They don’t need another dollar of funding.
Text “ICEOUT” to 24563 to fight back.
Many are calling ICE what it is: a modern extension of systems that have always policed, hunted, and controlled marginalized people.
And people around the world are refusing to stand by while their neighbors are terrorized.
From Minnesota to Milan, we’re saying: ICE OUT.
Black people know what it means to stand up when something is wrong. From the Civil Rights Movement to the fall of Jim Crow, our history is filled with people who refused to stay silent. That legacy lives in today’s resistance.
It’s also a time to name resistance. Because the moment we’re in right now echoes what we’ve faced before.
In Milan, people took to the streets to protest ICE’s presence at the Winter Olympics and to call out the harm the event brings to communities and the environment.
Black History Month is our time to highlight the beauty of our people and everything we’ve built, fought for, and carried forward.
"I cannot view the actions of ICE separate from the context of Black Codes or the Fugitive Slave Act. When I hear of masked men in unmarked cars snatching our neighbors from street corners, I imagine the position of my ancestors..." – LaDon Love, @spacesinaction.bsky.social #Defendthe14thAmendment

Billions of dollars in opioid settlement funds from pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. must go to what's proven to work:
✅Harm reduction
✅Housing & support

Happening now: Members of @wearecasa.bsky.social @popdemoc.bsky.social @freedcproject.bsky.social Congregation Action Network and @domesticworkers.bsky.social are gathering to demand the Senate block all funding for DHS and ICE.
As the partial government shutdown drags on over DHS funding, Midwest advocates say it’s not just a budget fight—it’s about human dignity & constitutional rights.

Increased funds for body cameras, trainings for immigration agents, and inspections of detention centers mean nothing without accountability measures. ICE will only continue to abduct and murder our community members just like it happened today!
☎️CALL TO DEFUND ICE popdemoc.org/defundice
Now, Democrats and Republicans in Congress are planning to give ICE MORE money! The proposed 2026 fiscal year funding bill includes:
$400M more for detention
$370M more for enforcement
Last year Congress already cut vital, life-saving programs so they could provide more resources for ICE, bringing ICE’s total budget in 2025 to $28.7 billion, nearly tripling their 2024 budget. This increased budget has only resulted in more harm, more deaths, and more dehumanization of our people!

Showing up together matters. These attacks depend on isolation and silence. Collective presence, public solidarity, and refusing division are how rights get defended in real time.
This case isn’t really about sports. It’s about whether equal protection still applies when the people affected are trans kids. Whether civil rights laws mean what they say when it’s inconvenient, or only when it’s easy.
We showed up in DC today for Little v. Hecox because banning trans girls from school sports is discrimination, no matter how politicians try to dress it up. These laws weren’t based on evidence or real harm. They were based on fear.
"Organizations such as the @streetvendorproj.bsky.social and Make the Road NY have increased resources for street vendors & immigrants. These include legal & financial assistance, & #KnowYourRights trainings."
✊The most valuable defense our communities have against ICE is to know our rights!
🚨ACTON NEEDED: We demand that ICE #FreeAllan!
On Monday, November 24th, just days before families across the country gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving, Allan, a gay man originally from the Cayman Islands was detained & separated from his husband following their marriage-based green card interview.
Earlier this month, we were proud to partner with @copalmn.bsky.social @popdemoc.bsky.social @threewatersprt.bsky.social and @oilchange.bsky.social for a Movement to End Fossil Fuels training in Minneapolis! There'll be more trainings in other cities soon, so stay tuned!
“By exercising rights loudly, courageously, and openly, people protect them… [Trump's attacks on the 14th Amendment] serve to divide and distract people as the White wealthy class consolidates power. But just like those who walked before us, we can claim our rights.”
—Analilia Mejía & DaMareo Cooper
"As organizers and practitioners of democracy, we must act every day to protect these invaluable rights—irrespective of race, class, or status.
...The 14th Amendment says freedom and dignity belong to all of us."

We are done being told there is no money for healthcare, for housing, for food, while billionaires walk away richer than ever.
This fight is not over. Our communities are organized, and we will hold every single politician who voted to take away our healthcare accountable.
22 million people will lose access to Medicaid or the ACA, leaving thousands to suffer and die without the care they need. Heading into the holiday season, Americans will be left sicker, hungrier, and more desperate than ever — all to fund $1 trillion in tax breaks for the 1%.
Millions are losing healthcare today because of Republican cruelty and the cowardice of the eight Senate Democrats who voted with them.
