I am ridiculously excited by the fact that today we took delivery of a food waste recycling bin. (In all honesty, it doesn't take much 😆) My hope is that our general waste will now be even better than one small bag every two weeks 😆 #recycling

46 people fed today at my shift at the Foodbank. We were flat out for one and three quarters hours. I'm knackered but happy we could help.
We just cleared our garage with a tip run. It's ridiculous how happy this makes me! 😂
The sunshine today is making all the difference I need after a week of feeling under the weather. Our Spring bulbs are blooming and I'm so grateful to have made it through the Winter! 😍 #spring
This week's dental check up resulted in instructions to start using a water flosser. My bathroom now looks like it's been hit by a cyclone. Dentist obviously miscalculated my level of competency in aim and use of equipment 😬😆 #dentists #waterflosser
Busy shift at the Foodbank this afternoon. My back aches but we fed 57 people which is bad and good in equal measure! #foodbanks #hunger
And it's great reading your contributions on the Ship.
The weather App on my phone has just informed me that it feels like -7° C outside. That's cold for here. Plans for today will be trying to keep warm and feeding the birds 😬🥶😆
Lovely to see you here!
It's cold here on this New year's Day and has been for several days but one advantage of these cold clear skies are the glorious sunsets. #newyear2026 #skyscapes
Oh how my inner child delights in this! #snow #chichester
Today I'm remembering my uncle who died in war and my father who survived and died hoping for an end to war. #veteransday2025 #remembranceday2025
Back home in the UK after a long but excellent journey with BA and Qatar Airways. Thankful to have been able to visit our daughter and kids in beautiful NZ but wall of exhaustion hitting again this evening. The joys of international travel! #jetlag #travel
Even the moon feels different on the other side of the world! #southernhemisphere #nightsky ##newzealand
Lovely walk in local woods yesterday with my lepidopterist husband and daughter. Lots of butterflies: Peacock, Red Admiral, Fritillary, Large White, Brimstone, Comma, Speckled Wood, Gatekeeper and Small Heath- Plus a couple we didn't manage to identify! #butterflies #nature #woodland
Just released the butterflies my lepidopterist husband was given for Father's Day ❤️ #butterflies ⁰
Proper 💧🌧💧at last 🥰 #weather
Thinking too much about the Trinity results in me tying myself in theological knots. I've learned it's far better for me to meditate on things like this stunning sonnet!
I love this poem- it gives me hope
We saw his light break through the cloud of glory
Whilst we were rooted still in time and place
As earth became a part of Heaven’s story
And heaven opened to his human face.

I have good news and bad news....good news the smoke alarms here are working well, bad news lunch menu will now need to be changed 😆
It's heartbreaking and completely unnecessary. I'm sure you guys have the same protocols for restraint as we do here. Thank you for speaking out on behalf of these children.
Exactly. I worked in those schools for most of my 30 year teaching career. It can be tough which is why training and support for staff is essential so that they can do their jobs and the students can flourish as much as possible.
OMG that's horrendous! Handling challenging behaviour in students/ clients really needs to be an ongoing and frequently revisited training focus imo.
My garden is very grateful for last night's rain 😍 #flowers
