Portland is not "war ravaged." This is delusional and dangerous.

Sending troops into American cities doesn't make our communities safer — it just stokes fear and stirs up chaos.

Trump is plunging further into authoritarianism every single day.

REQUEST: If anyone has the memo in question, pushing such prosecutions, apparently sent from a lawyer in Blanche's office to "U.S. attorney’s offices in California, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit and Maryland, among others," please send it my way. Signal: crg.32

Justice Dept. Official Pushes Prosecutors to Investigate George Soros’s Foundation

This is, without any exaggeration, exactly how Putin and Orbán proceeded — using antisemitism to discredit the idea of civil society and political opposition, and as an excuse to undo the rule of law.

This is really shameful by NYT — you should never quote someone just transparently lying about what happened without immediately clarifying that it’s false. Better yet, don’t quote that person at all

Let me guess…if Kenvue gives Trump money, all this goes away

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

Tom Homan was investigated for accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents. Trump's DOJ shut it down. The FBI and Justice officials closed the investigation, which a Justice Department appointee had called a “deep state” probe in early 2025.

The FBI had Tom Homan on VIDEO in Sept 2024 taking $50k in bills from undercover ops, indicating “he would facilitate securing contracts for them in exchange for money once he was in office,” then did…nothing? Case now dropped. Carol Leonnig in her new gig has the story www.msnbc.com/msnbc/news/t...

Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

An INTENDED result of going after free speech is it scares people into being silent in a moment where we need everyone to be the loudest.

reading a book about china. apparently the government there has sent federal forces into cities, taken shares of major private enterprises, slapped tariffs on industries, and pressured media outlets to fire people they politically disagreed with. didn’t know this.

Every major talent that works for ABC and Disney should refuse to show up for work until Jimmy Kimmel is reinstated.

Marvel movies need to shutdown. Ditto the sitcoms.

Collective boycott.

Corporations love money more than anything,& this will harm them and force them to do the right thing.

Y’all, I hate to be the town crier, but when I wake up tomorrow morning, I’m gone need for everybody to have sounded the alarm about this proposed House bill to revoke the passports of U.S. citizens over “political speech.”

Okay?

Great.

The GOP's commitment to gaslighting the country by claiming that violent extremism is a problem for the *left* is really quite something.

Just occurred to me that they are keeping the speeches at 45 seconds to stop people from making political statements.

Because CBS.

I am absolutely certain President Trump and Governor Cox will be issuing corrections and apologies immediately. Let me tune into Fox. I'm sure they are running that now. (Sarcasm)

Guys, I know you all still cling to conspiracy theories about Merrick Garland bc ... well, you watch too many TV lawyers who knew fuckall about the investigation.

But this is a fact. A trial was scheduled to happen 3 years after Jan6, just like Bolsonaro got.

Who killed it? John Roberts.

The injunction is silent as to the use
of force. And it is not necessary for the injunction to address
that use-of-force question because the Fourth Amendment’s
reasonableness standard continues to govern the officers’
use of force and to prohibit excessive force.
To the extent that excessive force has been used, the
Fourth Amendment prohibits such action, and remedies
should be available in federal court. I agree with the
dissent on that point. But to reiterate, this injunction
against brief stops for questioning does not address the useof-force issue.

It's not the most important part of the issue but Kavanaugh saying "well they should just sue if they're the victims of excessive force from ICE" when he himself has previously voted to bar lawsuits against federal officers for violations of the 4th Amendment in immigration cases takes chutzpah.
