The plow of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Date limits still work on desktop when using search operators. For example, searching
60s pop before:2023-01-01
gives AI slop free results. The search operator "after" limits results to after a given date.
Searching within a set of dates is also the best way to avoid AI slop. I generally subscribe to music curator YT channels for small subgenres, but when visiting my parents I'll just do a general search for "60s pop". That kind of search is an AI slopfest now without limiting search by date.
