Ohh ok ok, yea the more I hear about people's experiences, it feels like everyone's is p unique. These are helpful pointers, I appreciate hearing your pulse reading of where things are at!! Also that guy's work is awesome, making things feel organic/sincere is a big deal for me

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much in advance do you usually announce release drops/where?? I know you've been in the merch game for a while, so I am curious as I am just starting and struggling with the idea of marketing and promotion LOL...

Omg that's a great idea!! I kind of put my web comic site on hold, but I should get over my fears of (minor) coding and get it done. But I do have half of the first chapter done, and am actively working to finish the second half, so that's pretty much the only thing getting in the way!...

Also for comic-related merch, which feels more like something for subscribers/people actually interested in it, and not a general shop. I know I'm doing a lot with the comic that I don't really talk about online, so I guess that's where the newsletter aspect would come in too 🤔

Yea, I guess my goal is a mixture of all of the above, but mostly to be able to send out physical printed merch like stickers and mini prints. I have a lot of ideas of little printed things, but they seem too small for a shop right now
