2,200 nursing home workers at 22 sites in NS are on strike. Some of the longest strikes in Canadian history have been in LTC -- and that means that low-paid workers have struggled mightily for fair wages and better living conditions and care for residents. I stand with CUPE-NS.

Just yesterday, following student and academic staff pressure, the Government of Canada announced (buff.ly/XiFWSDN) an extension of the $4,200 maximum federal portion of the grant for next year. Next we need to #GrowtheGrants.
