❄️🔉In Sept. 2024, I retrieved and re-deployed moorings in Qaanaaq with local hunters. The moorings - equipped with AURAL’s and SoundTraps - help us study underwater noise, soundscapes, and marine mammals.
Huge thanks to the local community for their expertise! 🐳 #ArcticScience #BioAcoustics

🌊🔊 Hi Bluesky! I’m Julie, a master’s student at @bioacousticsau.bsky.social, studying underwater noise, soundscapes, and narwhal behavior in Northwest Greenland.
I’ve worked on bycatch mitigation and behavior in harbour porpoises, and humpback whale photo-ID in Greenland. 🐳❄️ #bioacoustics #arctic
