What a bombing in Nevada reveals about the nation’s appetite for violence - High Country News There is no definition of domestic terrorism. And the reason why is complicated.

Being sick or injured sucks for so many reasons but one is that it makes you hyper-aware of the afflicted body part while it's damaged. I don't want to have my throat sharply in my awareness because swallowing hurts, I don't want to think about you, body!

So this whole thread, but also given how victims are treated when they come forward, I don't understand the cycle of "Why didn't she tell?" & "Why didn't reporters tell without consent or a witness?" We all know the routine of victim blaming & denial that happens around powerful predators right?

I'm telling you, the solution to many problems in education is to hire school librarians (at a liveable wage, with administrative support, and adequate resources). Your students don't need an LLM, they need a librarian.

The teaching part isn't just getting a student an answer, it's helping them think critically about what they are trying to figure out and how to ask the Qs that will get them to the correct answer or relevant resource. The journey is as important as the destination. You can't outsource that.
