Even if AI could write a novel what problem has been solved? The problem of knowing what you’re reading was written by another person? Who loves reading novels but hates the part where your mind briefly and mysteriously touched another?

People are being executed in the street over a problem that straight up does not exist and both parties are complicit in the lie
It’s a good thing Congress isn’t alive to see this
You FUCKED UP, your LEFTY politics have ALIENATED the BILLIONAIRES who run the CHILD BONE EXTRACTION FACTORIES and now they will do a MASS EXODUS from your STATE or CITY. Don’t CRY to ME when you no longer see their CHILD CATCHING VANS in your STATE or CITY, YOU IDIOT
god the themes were masterful
it is pretty darkly funny seeing posts like URGENT!!!! it is SUNDAY EVENING you must PUT DOWN YOUR DINNER and call your senator IMMEDIATELY to politely request they not press the big button marked "fuck you". this will not actually stop them from pressing the fuck you button. functioning democracy
In light of the govt shutdown and SNAP getting cut for a ton of folks, I have had a fun idea for how to help. I call it "Operation Turkey Heist (legal)."
Allow me to explain...
A lot of grocery stories are doing a "free turkey with X dollar purchase" and food banks very much want those turkeys.
to understand what's happening in romantasy, and how pubilshers make decisions about what stories to tell, it's in fact deeply necessary to know how diverse YA fantasy actually is. because that's how it becomes really clear the extent to which romantasy publishers are prioritizing straight whiteness

FWIW i’ve switched to @bookshop.org for ebooks and Libro for audio books and with very few exceptions had the exact same experience as Amazon without the greasy aftertaste. Highly recommended.
That one is on my universal recommendation list too!
the east coast: I drew you a nice, hot bath

the east coast: in the air all around you :)
the east coast: there is no escape :)
So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there's one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?
Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man the Trump administration acknowledged was wrongly deported to El Salvador, is on his way back to the US, ABC News reported Friday
a good thing to ask yourself when pursuing a broad political strategy is “would this have prevented the civil rights movement?”
*existential scream about how good Andor is*
props, Canada! Happy for you guys!! 🇨🇦
god bless canada for taking a look at what we've got going on down here and rightfully saying "uh actually no thanks"
Eventually I was just like idk, there are a lot of things in the world that need doing and the existence of those programs shouldn’t depend on if they’re sexy enough to pitch at a cocktail party. But somehow, it does. No shade to the NGOs who work this way, it’s just the reality. But I hated it!
A lot of private fundraising for NGOs is about identifying the extremely wealthy people and pitching them the good deed your org does, hopefully getting them to commit major $ to establish a project. But it’s so 1:1 and relational. Like, how is this good deed good for *them.*
This is basically why I had to get out of nonprofit fundraising, it was driving me to 24/7 blind rage 😅

I feel like we need to keep saying this because it’s so insane: This is a legal U.S. resident who has been detained for over a month now for his political opinions.
Heheheheh oh look the only move they can make that actually makes me want kids LESS
It was the worst of times, it was the even worse than that of times
