Is there a word for when you suddenly have an urge to vibe code something?

I didn't go in depth about AKS Desktop. The talk included different fork strategies and I had to cover some subjects.

Yes. I did mention that in the corresponding example.

Joaquim giving a talk

Today I finally gave a talk at #KubeCon that I had in my head for a while: when to fork or not fork Headlamp and ways of doing it. Maybe I should also turn it into a blog post. ๐Ÿค”

Hmm, how so? I can imagine that it'd easy to auth through OpenID and pay through stripe?
I'm mostly impressed to hear about it knowing which chair you were at.
Sounds pretty cool overall! Please keep posting about any new tech things you find.

Grateful to @anthropic.com for the Claude Max plan as part of their Open Source program. I'll make the most of it.

Headlamp Headlamp is a user-friendly Kubernetes UI focused on extensibility

The Kubernetes Dashboard was officially retired and archived on January 21, 2026.

To continue providing a modern, extensible web UI for the community, the project now recommends transitioning to Headlamp.

โ˜†ๅฝก Did you know Headlamp runs on both desktop and web, with plugins that adapt to each? Build your own, mix pre-made ones, and shape the Kubernetes UI you actually want.

My son yesterday: What does dad do anyway?
Me: Sit down next to me. Let me show you [...]
He: It's still just writing stuff...
Me: But you have to know what to write! What would you write if you had my job?
He: Me? I'd write: "I'm gonna play tennis! Day off!"

Very tempted to buy a small non-laptop computer to run here at home. A Beelink like I got my wife or similar.
I have many work computers, but my personal one is a 2015 T450s. Still sturdy, but I need more power.

Looking nice. I worked for a good while in a fork of GNOME Software for Endless. Interesting to see a new store like this.

It's an early version but a lot of work went into this and we got big plans for the near future around the idea that deploying Kubernetes locally for development should be easier.
