Now I feel some regret. I do love Uwe games (A Feast For Odin, Glass Road). I've got At the gates of Loyang On my Shelf of Shame.
Dead of Winter - zombie standees and a survivor
Biblios - many plays, ran its course
Dead of Winter - third time I've bought and sold. Perfect theme/story put into game play, but never hits the table (need 4-5 zombie lovers)
I've got people nibbling on 3-4 more. #boardgames collection is now at 181, though I've got 6 crowdfunded inbound in 2026.
Scythe main board made of different terrain hexes. A bunch of blue, yellow, and red player pieces are on the board
With good pricing, I sold these #boardgames through BGG & local game group in a week:
Hallertau - not played, theme looked clunky
Scythe - wanted mech area control, got action efficiency race. Can play others' copyies
Courtisans - like the idea of it but the play was just OK. Not enough zhuzsh
I like seeing your joy on these older games.
One of my favorite games (ranked #11). The amount of choices for worker placement is phenomenal, and very thematic. I love the bits of randomness in the hunting and pillaging. And while the tile laying really doesn't make thematic sense, it's a fun puzzle.
Dice Forge was one of my early purchases. Enjoyed it, but have moved on.
Yes, exactly. No hard knocks against it, but other race games I'd rather play - like The Oracle of Delphi, which can be a little more punishing, or Rajas of the Ganges. Once my 4th โญ was out, there was little to do but compute the shortest path to getting last 2. Was missing blocking or tightness.
That is amazing work!
Scythe main board. Hex land design with rivers and lakes running through. In the forefront, a soldier with gun is riding a buffalo (?). Blue mechs and blue wooden meeples are in the background. Yellow and red opponent pieces can also be seen on the perimeter.
Maybe a #boardgames hot take, but Scythe is just "ok." After 3 yr absence, played 3p game, kicking off the Fenris campaign expansion. It's a race efficiency game. Get out your 6 stars, instant game over, and you probably won. About 3/4 through, I ran out of interesting things to do. Onto sell pile.
The deluxe game looks fantastic.
I've always wondered what that game looks like.
Great work!
Great work. I love Champions of Midgard!
Great work.
Some day I'll get in a play of it. Everyone says it's great.
I really enjoy Dinosaur Island: the theme, the story as play unfolds, the different mechanics. I need to get it back to the table.
Fantastic! ๐
This week's #boardgames picks for our monthly game night.
I agree. It is interesting to hear why people are selling or trading their games. I think it lends itself to hearing about older games, which can help guide your own used game buying and trading decisions.
Coincidence! I also have 26 unplayed games, and that recent relevation put 20 overall in my collection (including some unplayed) up for sale.
Cursed Court and Concordia??? Two of my favorites.
Is that in Jersey?
We're going to blockade a straight that no one is currently able to sail through? That's a winning strategy.
Thanks for checking!
Just put 20 games up for sale (BGG:godzilla614). I always try to go under the BGG lowest available price, unless the sale includes an expansion. We'll see, rabbit, we'll see. #boardgames
I feel seen.
Some day I'll watch this. Right now, finishing up my first run of Firefly.
That is such a great rocker. Probably that and 'Slave to the Grind' are my favorites from Skid Row.
