I can't see them either.

Kitemaster by Jim Hines awhile after my kite-loving dad passed. Read a lot of that through tears, but couldn't stop.
ActBlue donors can request refunds if they donated to Swalwell’s campaign.
Pass it on.
The look my husband gave me when I said I was almost done with Wearing the Lion, and then I planned to start Operation Bounce House, was something. Then I saw it click when he realized I was talking about books.

I can't believe a FIFA Peace Prize winner would do this
Cover of An Unexpected Evening by Kara Jorgensen featuring a masquerade mask.
Cover of The Reanimator's Fate (book 4 in the series) by Kara Jorgensen. Features the silhouettes of two men reaching out to each other from a distance and a skeletal torso.
Recently finished these from another series that I adore. There is one more promised short story/novella? or I would be sad it was over.
When I try to describe it: A mystery series about a necromancer and his undead boyfriend that he accidentally reanimated, but much sweeter than that sounds.
“An actual vulture turns death into feathers. An actual crow turns flesh into flight.”

(I'm currently listening to the audio, and this has stuck with me.)
Another one of those “oh shit” moments.
was just reminded that tomorrow is april fool’s day and especially this year can we just… not, please
Cover art for Rough Pages by Lev AC Rosen that shows a face peeking through some books under the shadow of another face.
Cover art for The Bell in the Fog by Lev AC Rosen that shows a desk with broken glass, and matches, etc. under the shadow of a face.
I'm just eating up this Evander Mills series by Lev AC Rosen. Each one seems even better than the last. I'm sat in my car in the driveway after getting home many times so I could keep listening a little longer. Historical mysteries with great vivid characters.
I also started Whose Body from the reading list, but pretty quickly DNF it because of antisemitism. So a content warning for others on that one.
The audiobook cover that reads: The Queen of Mystery Agatha Christie, The Murder at the Vicarage, a Miss Marple Mystery Preformed by Richard E Grant. The image is of a headstone in a graveyard.
I've been lapse in sharing the reading I've enjoyed lately. Still working through the Wake Up Dead Man reading list. I really thought I knew the solution in this one, but I was wrong.
Let’s stop softening the language. The pregnant detainees in the Texas ICE camp are children.
They are not “young women.” They are minors.
If pregnancies occurred while they were detained, every ICE officer must be investigated for child sexual assault.
These children must be freed.
Polar, the lynx point kitten laying in some leaves wearing his black harness and a blue leash.
Panda, a black and white kitten sitting on the back step wearing a black harness with her pink leash.
Harness/leash training with the kittens. Going well so far.
Happy Birthday!
and thank you, this looks fun!
Book cover for Lavender House by Lev AC Rosen
Another great book finished: Lavender House by Lev AC Rosen. I'm getting very into mysteries. This one stayed with me so much I had to get on the wait-list for book 2.
I heard stories of people who've fed crows, and been given gifts in return. It sounded charming, so I began doing that.
Then, one night, there was a rapping on my bedroom window. I stumbled up and opened.
A crow flew in and spoke: "They're coming for you. You must flee."
I only just made it out.
I understand the instinct to donate to orgs that are helping trans folks flee red states but let's not forget about the orgs that are still fighting for trans folks in red states.

I got this bundle the last time it came around. There are regional restrictions and it's for Kobo only. But I was able to hunt up an older model used Kobo for under $30 and got the side benefit of now almost never buying ebooks from Amazon anymore. Win-win!
I used to give it some leeway when it would confuse my 2 black cats, but over time it's clear it's just a lot more limited than it's sold as.
And these are much better pictures than what a porch camera is going to get of a moving animal across the street.
I'm also amused that it says 'over the years'.
She's 8 months old.
I'm dubious about the dog finding ad thing and here is part of why. Google photos sends me stuff like this often. The title photo is Panda. The next 4 photos are not. Some are completely the wrong color. Then it gets back to her baby pictures.
It is bad at this.
Congratulations! 🎉

I have things I need to do tonight, but I'm tired and it's been a rough week and I still have to work tomorrow. So instead, I deserve to snuggle in with a cat and read.
