I am so happy to be rid of my silver vehicle. Impossible to find in a parking lot. In the used market I test drove the boring (only) colours, found the one I wanted a few hours away in a gorgeous hue. Love colour.

I feel that. My nephew was fodder in the last round of cuts. He LOVED working in the little town, village and hamlet post offices. He covered for illness and holidays. Nothing over a population of 2000. Northern work.

don’t even get me started on her trying to trample over Lougheed’s protection of the eastern slopes for coal mining. Nothing like destroying a watershed. 🤬

well nobody else has been able to figure it out either. CP fights nearly every proposed change, this has been going on for decades. I think taking on more banking and other services is the way to go, we’re not on opposite sides here, maybe more parallel

and that is what I am saying, I think keeping rural post offices open is a priority over door to door delivery when it comes to one or the other, like I had mentioned in my other posts under my original. I too am a bit of a Luddite and volunteered for years with Meals on Wheels.

and both the small town pharmacies and at least the independent pharmacies I use here in the city I live in have free delivery.

I guess my concerns are more focussed on the closing of rural post offices. I never expect the postal service to make money, but I think some of the hesitancy to initiate change has hurt the entire CP system. Once upon a time you could raise a family on CP wages.

See, bring from a small town where we never had home delivery, I don’t quite understand this? Up until a few years ago, couriers never even came to our doors, packages would be left a few towns over at a depot. I have door delivery now in the city, which I admit is nice but a luxury.

Funny thing, one of the charactors from my tiny hometown, the most Albertan Albertan I know, belt buckled, wrangler wearing farmer & commercial semi driver got a little white Mitsubishi at auction -his daily driver for all but the worst weather. He gets ribbed a bit but his ‘IDGAF’ meter is high. 😂
