I just realized that a few weeks ago was the 7 year mark of when my dad died.
Sadly, as I forgot about it, I was unable to celebrate it.
Ah well. Maybe next year! 🥳

Hot damn!
That's wonderful to hear!
I do miss when WonderCon was in the SF Bay Area.
Well then, we'd both have a ton of nickels.
Near the end of December my car was hit. No injuries as it was low speed - I was found not at fault.
My car was at the shop for nearly 2 weeks, and I picked it up last Friday.
I'm so stoked to have it back! Driving the rental (with an automatic) was mind numbing and boring beyond words.
It's been a long time since I've been here. I don't recall how long.
Events... Back in the middle of October I switched my home desktop from windows (fuck you) to Linux. I did the same for my file server, and kiddo's laptop and desktop. Yup, never going back to the bloated spyware that is windows.
If you feel uncomfortable reading something contrary to your existing beliefs, you are living in an echo chamber - regardless if you're liberal or conservative.
2/2
There are 2 books that I bought. The red one was 20+ years ago, the blue one was 5+ years ago.
I'm re-reading both.
I've been of the punk mindset (think for yourself, fuck the 'norm') for over 30 years.

I've stated previously that his first term was akin to a dress rehearsal, whereas this time is the full performance.
It's going to get incredibly difficult for a lot of people, and while I do have sympathy, it is limited.
True that! They are custom fitted to my balls, which took a few weeks (have to accommodate for every possible range of motion), but are so comfortable that I don't feel the holder anymore. 👍
Even my girlfriend gets more excited than usual when she sees them. 💯
I've designed custom ball holders. They're comfortable, cooling (I run hot), and make my balls look 10 years younger.
Perhaps this is that magical "de-regulation" that conservatives talk about so much. I wonder how it will impact the average person.
That sounds like some serious conspiracy theory stuff right there, largely because there is nothing to back up a single word of what you've said.
Wait. Musk isn't impervious?
Roughly 32% of UHC claims are denied, and over 90% are reversed (ie. no longer denied) when challenged.
That means roughly 3% of all claims are denied.
The AI method is 100% bullshit. But, there is nuance to this story.
That guy proved that the average person can only be pushed so far, and the reaction can be volatile.
Good thing the theme song already exists!

That's a Messi'd up thing to do.
UHC is known for cancelling more than any other health provider.
Health care in the US is 100% engineered to benefit the ultra wealthy.
I'm watching the animated film from the 70s.
Oh boy... I've yet to start it, but I've seen some stills from it, and my girlfriend has given me a few details, and it seems like less than ideal viewing in that regard...
For the UHC non-fans, I recently had a life saving surgery. The total cost was just under 7 figures.
My cost was so low that it did not impact me.
I know my situation is not common.
The point: some of us are alive because of our UHC coverage.
For those that randomly decided follow me...
I rarely post.
My views are not always liked/popular - regardless of what political side you're on.
I have no real love for the human race, as it does not deserve it, and believe the planet would be better if all humans were dead.
Maybe the person that shot him had their claim denied by his company...
That would not surprise me.
I'm watching 2 very disturbing films (nearly done with the 1st one).
They make me hate the atrocities that humans do commit.
The Plague Dogs & Watership Down. In that order.
I don't suggest anyone watch either.
