Yes and no. The US has more guns and more gun owners than anyone else. But gun ownership in the US is about 32%, and in Canada is about 26%. But gun deaths per capita are about 9-10 times higher in the US. If it was just about access you’d expect the deaths to be like 1.24 times higher
I don’t think any mass shootings have been prevented or stopped because the shooters rate of fire was marginally too slow. I think gun control is a good idea but America needs to get to grips with the idea that a large part of the problem is Americans’ commitment to and lust for violence

Who do you go for? The side that can follow a long term strategy or the side that can’t see beyond their own noses? The side that diplomatically likes throwing their weight around or the one that has started actively working against its own allies to appeal to its base?
