here's Rick Danko wearing the Nudie suit Bob bought him for the occasion. On stage, he only wore the shirt, without the bib. His niece Danielle still has it and has posted really gorgeous pictures of the details. Apparently Rick hated it though, and only wore the shirt the one time for the show

I can't confirm it, but I bet this is a Manuel/Nudie too:

britt.eisnor on Instagram: "This fantastic and underrated jacket from Bob’s stage costume collection was recently officially confirmed by David Mansfield to be…" This fantastic and underrated jacket from Bob’s stage costume collection was recently officially confirmed by David Mansfield to be a Nudie Cohn design. Bob wore the bedazzled piano and music note number for “Night of the Hurricane II” at the Houston Astrodome on January 25th, 1976. The event was a benefit concert raising legal funds of imprisoned boxer Ruben “Hurricane” Carter. Mansfield said in an interview with RR auction house- who were featuring Bobby Neuwirth’s Nudie suit from the occasion- that “for some reason Dylan got it into his head that we were all gonna go down and get Nudie suits to wear as stage clothes for this show.“ He calls the show a “crazy celebrity vortex… with these Nudie suits we had all bought!”Nudie Rodeo Tailors was a massively famous celebrity brand in country western wear- musicians such as Gram Parsons, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and even Elton John and Cher wore Nudie. Kinky Friedman can be seen at the Night of the Hurricane, as well as in the “Hard Rain” tv special, wearing an elaborate Nudie jacket adorned with the visage of Jesus- a gift from Bob. A lurid green Nudie suit was recently sold at auction from the estate of Ringo Starr- listed as “Bob Dylan gifted”. Ringo was also a performer at the benefit concert that night, but as there is only one blurry photo of him entering the venue, decidedly not in his Nudie wear, it can’t be said for certain that this was the occasion on which he received it. (Actually, I think he might be wearing a George Harrison Extra Texture teeshirt...)Kinky’s Jesus jacket, like many other iconic western costumes from the time, was actually designed for the Nudie label by the protégé behind Cohn’s name- a Mexican designer named Manuel Cuevas.Continued in comments!

It actually isn't the only time! At least one of Bob's western shirts from the 90s has a Nudie label, and he has had suits designed for him by Manuel Cuevas, who was apprentice and then lead tailor + partner of Nudie's Rodeo Tailors. I compiled some of that here: www.instagram.com/p/DJAIu57SHB...

I feel like the “shushing” can be more irritating than the cheering!!!!! And I also wish you’d been there! But it is always just a comforting feeling knowing Bob’s back out there.

I was at the Tulsa show and personally found the crowd to be amazing, completely in it and totally supportive of Bob, creating a great energy

well, talking is another thing. my first RARW show I was in an utterly disinterested balcony and it made it very difficult to concentrate. but the cheers after an impassioned line I have to understand... within reason.

I will say the only video I’ve seen of a crowd scream singing every word along at a Dylan concert was in Japan. I feel that the cheering and yelling is sometimes involuntary. Bob tears emotion out of people. It’s a Rough and “Rowdy” show, right? There’s a degree of respect in vocalizing enthusiasm.

I’m really hoping that the 78 tour gets a 75-esque treatment in 2028. I’m certain that they have the audio, I’m fairly confident they have video. I don’t think we’ll get the video- I hope they come for my money with the audio. I’ll give it.

"pretty good" can they just freaking release some of this stuff I know SOMEONE somewhere is withholding it from me. I see a shot like this with three pixels and am like "groundbreaking"

I ran across a smattering of pretty good Bob Dylan 1978 concert footage today and I keep just having to watch it in bits and pieces because I see two seconds and I imagine being there and I have to keep myself from passing out. truly cannot imagine a greater bliss

I think they were at some point compiled on a DVD together and then mislabeled! I doubt he changed not only his jacket but shirt during a show. I’m still looking for a picture with a photographer credit from the Austria show.
