Hey, I'm putting together a reading rec list for the Trans Rights Readathon (transrightsreadathon.carrd.co).
I'm looking for SFFH books written by trans and non-binary authors featuring a sapphic / wlw / f/f f/x relationship (including QPR) prominently (protag &/or one of the major POV characters)
To be clear, the proposed rule here deregulates and pushes paypros away from debanking businesses based on speech. The EO being followed focused *heavily* on political/religious speech, but is written broadly enough that the guidance is roughly "banks can't tell people what they can spend money on."
If nothing else it's a good reminder that just one action, or one comment on one proposal is never enough, we need to keep pressing what we care about from every angle we can find and can't be content until our rights as artists (even kinky ones) are properly protected.
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)

That and the Warrior Cats series were kidlet's favorite for a long time; there's been a reread of the Wings of Fire books AND graphic novels several times. XD
Also I was absolutely the kid who would bring books to school bc my teachers said I couldn't read them 🤣 That's how I wound up using a 1000 page book for a middle school book report; ah, Hawaii... 😂 Never tell a bookworm "you can't" or "that's impossible"!
He really is! Though I have locked him out of my room while I work at the moment bc he's found a new way to get to my wires & I'm at wit's end with the rascal. XD

For the record, a cane does not turn corners well horizontally, but he is beyond stubborn & it made a tremendous amount of noise bouncing off the walls as he dragged it away at warp speed. XD
