Wonder how Republicans are going to spin this statement from Pete Hegseth’s OWN MOTHER.

If I gave Kim, $1.3 billion dollars she couldn’t prevent more than 1 murder.

1 year ago 7 1 1 0

Got it, Kim. You’re saying we should spend $315 billion to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, all to stop 23 murders a year. That breaks down to $1.3 billion per murder prevented. On top of that, deporting those 11 million people would remove $100 billion in tax revenue.

Real smart, Kim.

Pointing to Laken Riley’s murder to argue against illegal immigrants ignores the real problem and shifts focus from real solutions.

Her parents are mad that people using her death for political purposes, and reducing her tragedy to a policy argument disrespects her memory and their wishes.

By your logic, if a newcomer to a city committed a murder, you'd argue that no one should be allowed to move there because “if they weren’t here, it wouldn’t have happened.”

You end up ignoring that most murders are committed by longtime residents and does nothing to address the causes of murder.

I didn’t say you were on the right, only that you and the right share the same flawed views on illegal immigrants.

Highlighting one murder while ignoring that they commit fewer homicides fuels unwarranted fear and distracts from the real issues on immigration.

Kim, every study shows that illegal immigrants commit less crime than natural-born U.S. citizens.

You and others on the right are using Laken Riley’s death to demonize illegal and undocumented immigrants. They’re here to work, not to terrorize our communities or drain our social services.

It’s people like you that make the right, never change their mind. Why would they change their mind if they come over to our side you’ll just scream at them.

The U.S. House Ethics Committee, led by Republicans, decided to withdraw from investigating allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz.

The right has no accountability. They do whatever it takes to win.

Delaying Trump’s sentencing for hush money crimes sets a precedent that our presidents can evade accountability, undermining the justice system and creating a dangerous pathway for future presidents to manipulate the law for personal gain.

Trump could exploit the bill’s vague language to label political opponents or advocacy groups as “terrorism-supporting,” stripping their tax-exempt status, cutting off funding, and silencing dissent without oversight.

Notice how the only evidence you can point to is reactions.

There’s no vehement dissent within the Republican Party over the worst Attorney General pick of our lifetimes.

And no political fallout, either—just business as usual. No one left the party or changed their stance on Trump.

Ironically, the people who have the most to lose are the GOP Representatives and Senators who go against Trump and his appointments.

That’s the risk of political fallout.

From my understanding, very few Republicans publicly criticized Trump’s appointment. Privately, sure, but publicly, no way. The GOP remained very quiet.

They all know that Elon Musk has said he would pour money into replacing anyone who falls out of line in the next midterm elections.

Matt didn’t leave because of media pushback or the pressure Trump was feeling. He left because Trump knows it’s a waste of time to try to get Matt appointed.

Had nothing to do with ‘political fallout’
