The man is Streisand Effect-ing that he can't get laid with or without paying for it. How fun would it be to be her lawyer and mount the defense that he kept making such bad financial choices with her that she assumed he was into findom?

Not to defend anyone in DHS, and I suppose you can bilk anything with nipples, but isn't exploiting a sugar daddy for their money simply the job description of a sugar baby?
I imagine Savannah Guthrie is thrilled to learn that investigating a reporter was a top priority for the FBI in February and March.
How many NYTimes reporters will still attend the White House Correspondents dinner?
I got fascinated with all the cloth innovations during WWII. Everyone knows about synthetics like nylons, but scientists were trying to create a fabric out of milk proteins as well to get around rationing. I found some incredible ads from that era trying to entice people out of their ration stamps.
Not a senior thesis but a capstone paper comparing clothing & material rations during WWII to post 9-11 rhetoric, including W telling Americans to "go shopping." I recall using an example of diamond bracelets advertised in Vogue with like 5% of proceeds going to NYFD. So I've always been like this.
Not to mention Michigan created a model for how states can create bipartisan redistricting commission comprised of citizens.
Back to reading @kcarterjackson.bsky.social's "We Refuse" now that my semester is ending and I'm in research and writing mode, and the Revolution chapter is hitting really hard with America 250 in the zeitgeist, the reflection on Crispus Attucks as a person and symbol is incredible.
All the reports about the diminishing rations on U.S. warships suggests that the plan is to make the adage "starve a fever" a military policy and the only form of health care.
You'd think their favorite war would've taught them a thing or two about the lack of food and disease prevention
Thinking as well about how so many soldiers were sick during the Civil War that Jeffrey Sartin has argued that it extended the length of the war. So many soldiers were sick at any given time that they referred to those hospitalized with illness or quarantined as “Company Q.”

I'd be assembling a crack team of honeypots, recruiting gorgeous and feverish dames. Open your ears and cough in their mouths, ladies:
This is true EXCEPT... packaged moon pies are mid. My sugar loving child won't even eat the ones she gets thrown at Mardi Gras.
Wow, grandmas truly are a spectrum because my first thought was that Nana is going to be a vengeful hellraiser.
Dobbs was overturned and the GOP had to gin up moral panic elsewhere.
Are Borrowers real?! We were having this issue with forks before until I bought loads at a secondhand store for like .25 a piece, that's what makes the sudden spoon drought even more mystifying!
Hoping Virginia puts the "semper" in "sic semper tyrannis" today!
"Spoon hound" is very fucking funny, and also what a delightful Valentine's Day present, lol.
Hmm.... this would make sense if I thought she was better at cleaning up after her meals. I did find one in her Lego corner so maybe I need a spoon bounty? We had this issue with forks till I went to a second hand store and bought a bunch cheap, guess I need to go load up on spoons next.

MSM still unable to crack the nut: why won't normies read our stenography of lies?
You’re definitely gonna pull up beside them, look inside, and realize that the driver is 100 crows inside a trench coat.
Yep, it's going to be more like "diss-covery" if the case ever makes it close to a court.
Ooooooo this is up my precise research alley, but what part of the project shall I propose??

What's my favorite cause and effect? The Streisand Effect.
One of my paranoid students this semester said something like "what's the harm in being cautious and calling the cops?" and I replied that the likelihood of police shooting a suspect is one reason to not instinctively call the cops, I could almost see the lightbulbs appearing over a lot of heads.
That's an interesting point. There was a heyday of serial killers that some attribute to it being a pre "stranger danger" era but children are even more statistically likely to be killed or kidnapped by a family member. But that's clearly scarier to most folks than an imagined anonymous killer.
at what cost to your psyche? Again, this is not a new phenomenon, during the Jack the Ripper era there were wax museums in London with displays about his victims and disproportionately the paying visitors were women.
