Y’all, I “organized” my collection for the first time in 3 years, and by that I mean I separated precons into their sets, sorted rares out from uncommon/common, and finally got the 3 WIP decks pulled and set aside instead of randomly strewn throughout. Next Linden and Svyelun get re-sleeved.

So I’ve gotten to love on some amazing beans the last few weeks.
Apollo is the sweet 6 month old orange boy at The Man’s, Daisy’s my momma’s sweet old Lady, and Doc is the nervous himbo boi who I’ve taken in as mine.

The art on both of these prints is just freakin gorgeous

Oh yes they definitely have a spot in the 99. My concern with them at the helm is going too wide with the concept. My deck building style is very “expect the unexpected”. Tana/Jeska as Gruul Voltron, Linden for combat driven LG, Zurgo’s “but what if I didn’t sac the token” line… brain go burrr

So I’m thinking of some other shenanigans that could add some Food and/or Clue fun… Lonis seems like an excellent choice for Clues, The Goose Mother also could be fun, but tougher… Kraj has some interesting potential but not quite what I’m looking for. Or am I overthinking this…

Ok Y’all, I saw Mutagen Man and wanted to build around him immediately. He doesn’t quite fit in T/J but I’m in love with some Simic Token Shenanigans, and the obvious choice for commander would be Donny/Mike partnered… but this is me, and I still don’t like obvious. 1/2

Wow so I guess I’ve been gone so long that I left mid migration and never added most of the old MtG gang on here, so if you just got followed by me, it’s cause I’ve logged into this site like twice since everyone moved from the old hellsite…

Overall, I’m happy. I went back to Empire (the LGS that I frequented in the before times) Friday to pick up my Strixhaven pre-order (set aside before I was unemployed) and chatted with the gang just catching up. Also, meet Heimy, the man’s adorable blockhead of a mastiff

I spent the first 4 months after the move home recovering, and once I left the job that had been killing me for the last two years, things have been so much better. I’ve been in nature a lot, spent a lot of time with my nieces (K, the 4th grader, wants to learn Magic) and have been rebuilding.

I moved back home in January. I left my company in March. I’m currently in an incredibly healthy relationship (my therapist said so) with a polycule I adore (and have known for over a decade) and am strengthening myself and my relationships with others.

In Non-MtG news:
In the 4 years I’ve been gone, a lot has happened. I went from a secure polycule to divorced and single, loved an abuser, experienced homelessness, and had a long run of being That Bitch with my company (including running the location inside Mall of America)… but then…
