James Bembridge on X: Hate is too weak a word for what I feel towards the NHS. I'd tear it down and salt the earth upon which it stood.
Lovely people, these Reform UK candidates for the upcoming election, and great to know they're on our side.

Dyson, the king of offshoring. He can't even be relied on to make his own vacuum cleaners in the UK.
Oh.
Excellent. Thank you.👍⭐
Has Keir Starmer been cloned? Domestic Starmer is rubbish. International Starmer sounds like a statesman.
War means war. Surrender means surrender.
Screenshot of Tommy Ten Names, claiming he's afraid and fleeing the UK.
Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?
Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.
friend of mine is an undocumented immigrant and has been hiding in Melania theaters bc he knows people assume no one is in there
When you think you've eaten them all, there's no greater satisfaction than finding that very last After Eight tucked into the end of the box .😉

Woof.🐶 waiting for an update from you from Davos next week.
My Venezuelan husband is not delusional.
One last take on Venezuela from a different angle; Fraser Nelson (from Substack) on why getting rich off its oil won’t work likeTrump seems to think it does. (Aka the one thing worse than unashamed imperialism is incompetent unashamed imperialism) open.substack.com/pub/fraserne...
There is sadly little coverage of Venezuelan voices in the media, both those in Venezuela and the diaspora( one quarter of the entire population,8m + forced to flee across the world by Maduro.)Too many talking heads making assumptions about what Venezelans want, care about. Please ask them!
Many Venezuelans may be delighted to see back of Maduro, but still resent US plan to take over their country and exploit its assets. Resistance will grow and chaos ensue if US fails to draw back, or create stable space for the democratic opposition/Venezuelan people to determine their own future.

While focus is often solely on asylum, and small boat crossings in particular, it's important to remember that Labour's hostililty against all migrants is harming not only individuals, but the whole country, with an estimated loss of £10.8billion, and zero actual benefits.

A lot of links and information in this piece helping debunk some of the more common myths about migrants.
Please support @migrantvoice.bsky.social, and donate to their campaign if you can, to help combat misinformation about immigration.
Yes, Lewis did great work.As did his wife, the journalist Dorothy Thompson who was relentless in warning America about links between growing American fascism and the Nazis.Read the superb 'Behold America'by Sarah Churchwell. It covers their work and examines history of America First and fascism in USA

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.
Nothing has ever trickled down.
Here's this week's column. Please - please - can we stop talking about migration in a way that's completely detached from the facts? www.theguardian.com/business/202...
This HOPE Not Hate shirt is much more palatable.
Do I understand correctly that there is now a dispute within the administration about whether this "peace plan" was written by Russians or Americans?
Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.
Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

By mimicking Reform to win back support, the Labour government is making a serious mistake. This race to the bottom emboldens Farage, punishes vulnerable people, amplifies racism, and undermines those working to hold communities together.
Yes, looks like Starmer has woefully fallen for Farage's classic divide and rule diversionary tactic. Farage probably can't believe his luck.😣Instead of challenging plutocrats and political corruption Joe Public is encouraged to scapegoat immigrants.😢
Starmer’s anti-asylum policies show how utterly clueless he is about the right-wing media’s role in politics.
He’s trying to fix a “problem” contrived by Farage, GB News and The Telegraph. He’ll never win, because ultimately he’s fighting a ghost – he’s fighting something that doesn’t really exist
The Prime Minister must wake up and stop trying to appease the very forces trying to exploit anti-migrant hate in order to destroy his Government, argues @adambienkov.bsky.social
