The reason I'm so positive about aspiring writers is that I believe that:

* Anyone who can string a sentence together can write a story, script or book.

* Anyone who puts enough time, effort, and workshopping into it can write a GOOD story, script, or book.

* Anything finished can be fixed.

dgmw “books aren’t political” is a dumbass take, but a couple months ago they were all like “oh if a page is just a wall of text i’m not reading it all” (like they’re BOOKS, EVERY page is a wall of text) so how is this meaningfully dumber to have triggered a schism?

I love artworks where you zoom in and see that they're all erratic paint strokes and brush marks that look incoherent but seeing it as a whole looks so polished and refined and detailed and god I just love art
