20 years between the NES and the Xbox 360, 20 years between the Xbox 360 and today π΅βπ«
The part where he makes his entrance by dipping two fingers in someone's glass of red wine is some of the most evil character acting I've ever seen
If anyone is wondering why I left out Bushido Blade, it's because it's the sickest shit ever, and I need everyone to forget it exists until I finish Bushido Baseball

this may reveal something about the Reddit upvote economy, because the comments that get the most upvotes are gonna be the "hard games" that have the widest reputation for being hard (instead of the scientifically hardest games).
Super cool project that I've been making all those sword attack animations for, a game based on Pathfinder 2E!
The scene where Kirsten Dunst takes a blast of poisonous barbs in the neck almost makes Jumanji a good double feature with The Mist. The spiders in this scene also look venomous as hell.
This one held up even better than I remember, the creature effects are incredibly scary and well done. Big props to the spiders, the crocodiles and carnivorous plants.

So if the last set was all dodges, this is what it looks like when the attacks connect.

Hi #portfolioday!
I'm making a baseball game inspired by Bushido Blade!
I am also a character designer and animator by trade, and I like to build lovely lowpoly character rigs with pixel art textures.
I enjoy horror, goth, pulp, and dark fantasy aesthetics most of all.
2, it was the most audacious to me, not just for the Raiden thing, but for following up on 1 and just dazzling with crazy systems, interesting puzzles, and my favorite guard evasion sandbox.
the way L4D navmeshes work is, in a way, a lot more roundabout and hard to implement, but its designed in such a way that it makes it *easy* for level designers to articulate the flow of the map without having to sacrifice their vision for the layout
Data is Bender?!
I've been doing 3D modeling for only 4 months and this is proof of how much I love it. My world is becoming real!

I tried to summon it and instead got the Killer 7 one stuck in my head
Its a little crazy to me how much variation we got in the short time of this one console. Several series that made it to a third or fourth entry started to take on this late ps1 "gradient orb" aesthetic. I think of jet moto 3 as being when games started to lose their crunchiness, for better or worse
Or now that I look at the parts that blend off the background is it scrambling the pixels of the render pass? Hmm, witchcraft
Whoa is that literally just handled with an animated texture?
that's good feet!
it is really tricky, I wouldn't say I've got it down 100% of the time either π
I dont know if this is very correct but I always think of the armpit being where two parts of a big piece of armor join together δΊΊ with the breast plate being on top and the back plate being underneath
It will require you to learn to apply: Animation, Sound effects, locomotion, triggers, state machines, and passive environmental interactivity. You could make a whole small game founded on this one premise, and it's really evocative as a portfolio piece.
I feel like one of the first things a new game dev should make is just something as fun as walking past the gorons in OoT and making them go ohh... oHh?
